Part 9
As we were laying on the ground looking up at the night sky, stars all around, another silence fell between us. But this time, it was a comfortable silence. And I couldn't help but smile. "What are you thinking about, Lilith?" He asked and I realized he was looking at ME that whole time, not the stars like I was. "Uhm, nothing." I said grinning even more. "You wanna know what I was thinking about?" He said. I nodded my head. "How beautiful you actually are." I blushed a deep red, and smiled, not saying anything. Justin smacked his leg, killing a mosquito. I jumped and let out a squeal and a flashback clouded my mind.
*FLASHBACK*
I was in my bedroom, listening to the screams of my father coming from down the hall. I hear a crash, and a scream of pain. It was happening again, as it did almost everyday. I let out a loud sob - big mistake - I slapped a hand over my mouth, hoping my father didn't hear. Suddenly my door burst open and my heart stopped. I saw my dad coming towards me with a terrible look on his face, and I saw my mom behind him, trying to tell him not to come near me. He didn't listen. He came towards me and said "You were supposed to be asleep a LONG time ago!!" He screamed at me as he slapped me across the face. My mom sobbing in the background.
"LILITH?!" I heard Justin yell which snapped me out of my flashback. "Are you okay?! Why are you crying?!" He asked me with a worried look on his face. "Oh.. Um.. Yeah, I'm okay. But I need to get home." I said trying to stop the tears from streaming out of my eyes. "Ok, ok ill take you home. Are you sure your okay? Do you want to talk about... Whatever just happened??" He asked "No, I'm okay." I said as I frantically wiped the tears from my face. Then he took me home.
