Who's your favourite? John or Arthur or both? Personally John is mine for many reasons but I still love Arthur.

⚠️Also would y'all like a John x reader or a o shot story of any characters/ requests? ⚠️

"This town is not half bad." I say nodding my head in approval, the people seemed nice at least. "Yeah but, don't want to alarm you but I feel like there's something wrong here. Look at the roofs." John said staring on not making it look obvious. I sneakily look above me and see two men peaking over the roof with guns in their hands, I turn to the right and see a man in the same colour clothes leaning on a pole watching me and John.

"A gang maybe? We need to keep low and head out soon." I whisper to him, "Just keep walking down the middle, glad Sean ain't here, he would start a ruckus and most likely get himself killed with a shot in the head." John smirks making me laugh.

"Let's go, see if any of them follow then if they do we can lead them to a quiet place and bombard them then and ask them questions." I say walking back to my horse, John follows me and we trot down the path.

"John I think you need to play with jack more, he's bored and needs a father figure in his life." I say looking behind me to see three men down the path in a line following us.

"He might not even be mine, when Uncle brought her to the gang she got with many other members of the gang. She chose me in the end and then had jack." John says keeping a sharp eye out for any behaviour of the three men. More of them started to appear from new paths.

"Of course he's yours John, Abigail does whine a little but maybe take him out one day." I say making sure my gun is loaded,

"Yeah, you're right. Let's stop to the side here make it look like you're checking your saddle bag or something." John said as he pulled the horses reins to the side, making a stop. I pull my horse behind johns and jump off, I open my bag and peek up. The men stopped on the other side of the path, there was now six men all in similar outfits. Must be the people from town, or at least some of them.

"We've been watching you." One of them spoke up, holding a shotgun in both hands. "We could tell." John snapped back, staring at the men making them chuckle in their little circle like hyenas.

"You have to pay a fine to pass through these parts you know?" The man spoke again, the rest of the men stood behind him. "For what? Walking?" I spoke with a loud tone of voice, quite ticked off. I see John take out his revolver and hide it behind his back. "Don't talk to me like that girl, ladies aren't meant to be shooting and riding with the men anyway." The man laughed, I could've killed him right now, this world is so sexist against what women can and can't do and I've had enough. "Leave her alone!" John shouted one a defensive manner, fiddling with the trigger of his gun. "I'll show you what this girl can do." I chuckled darkly as I aim my gun at his head and without hesitation pull the trigger sending the man flying backwards with a hole in his skull.

"Y/N you dumbass quickly we need to go!" John said as he jumped on his agitated horse, he shot two of the men and began to ride off. I follow behind him while shooting backwards to keep the men off us. A few more of them turned up due to the sound of the gunfight, I consider to myself if I should've shot that man. It could cause more trouble in the long run. "Quick, down this way!" John shouts from behind, he kills the last of the men and rides down in an opening of a fence, crops where growing everywhere. To my right was a massive mansion, a long path lead to the manor with trees blocking it. Maybe that could be our next house to rob, guards were heavily guarding it so it must have some worth.

"There's guards everywhere, quick leave our horses here and we can hide over there." John left his horse hidden in some trees, we sneaked over to a little edge a bit far away from the manor, it had a little seating place.

After a while of hiding a young girl came over, she didn't notice us and sat in the seating place. She pulled out an envelope and opened it with a smile on her face. Giggling every once in a while as she carrying on reading.
"John, let's go before she notices us." I whisper to him while crouched down, before he could respond I start to sneak away. A loud crack sound could be heard underneath my feet, "Fucks sake." I moan as I realised I have stepped on a stick, which was loud enough to attract the attention of the lady.

"Who are you?" The lady asked leaning over the edge holding her note to her chest, she hadn't seen John yet who looked pissed off at me. "I Uh was just leaving, no need to tell anyone." I say hurriedly scattering off, John grumbled and stomped out of his cover making the lady gasp. "Oh uh I'm sorry miss we'll be leaving now." John tipped his hat to her. "Wait, what's your name?" The lady asked. "That's not important." John stopped in his tracks. "Well I'm Penelope Braithwaite." She said innocently, she didn't seem much of a threat.

"That's a very nice name but we must get going." John grabbed my arm lightly and started walking off. "Please come back again! I'm...it's lonely out here." She admitted sadly, "We'll see, bye now." I said waving her off.

"She was strange." John said looking back at the women who was watching us, "Yeah well that house looks like it's got some cash in." I said jokingly, "I'll inform Dutch and Hosea about it." John says. We rode back to camp to find nothing, no tents were set up and it looked like agents were snooping around for clues.

"Get down!" John pulled me to the floor and hid behind a rock, I peeked my head above, "I told them I would be here in two days and they've gone running off like cowards!" One of them spoke loudly, "Keep looking! They couldn't of gone very far." He said again, he jumped on his horse with two men and rode off just missing me and John. He seemed recognisable, he looked like the guy I saw with Jack. "They must've left a note." John says as he pokes his head out to check his surroundings for any clues of where they could've gone.

"What's that he's got in his pocket?" I say pointing to a guy holding a cigarette in his hand, leaning against a tree away from the other men. It was a white note with black fancy writing. "That could be anything." John says not sure, "It's worth a try." I shrug, "Alright, you any good at sneak kills?" John asks. "You better do this one, show me what you got." I mock him, he tuts and slightly pushes me making me laugh. He waiting until some of the men were turned away, he crouched down and walked slowly towards the man who's back was facing away, John took out his knife and stood up quickly, shoving the knife into the mans neck making his body go limp, dropping the cigarette.

John pulled the body away into some bushes, not in view of anyone. He searched the mans body and picked out the note. I sneak over the John and peek over to look at it. "This is bullshit, this is that guys cousin." I say rolling my eyes, that kill was worth nothing in the end and still no clues. John smirked, "No, no it wasn't. This is one of Dutch's plans. They said they're moving down by Rhodes, let's go." John said.

We started to ride off leaving the old camp and visiting a new, god knows what will happen now.
