Two

Jema woke up early, a few minutes before her alarm. She started her day with a prayer before she went to the bathroom and took a shower. 

"Good morning!" She greeted Celine who just woke up when she went back inside their room.

Celine looked at her watch and hurry to the bathroom, afraid that she may be late for work.

Jema prepared herself for today's activities. She's wearing a pastel yellow long sleeves matching her white slocks.

"Wow, ready na si doktora..." Biro ni Celine na kakalabas lang sa bathrooom.

Nginitian lang siya ni Jema while reading a book and sitting on the sofa.

"Andyan na ba si Jia?" Celine asked,

"I knocked pero mukang wala siya." Jema answered.

"Naku baka di na umuwi yun, anyway, give me 10 minutes, sabay na tayong pumunta sa hospital." Celine said.

"Sure!" Jema replied.

The two friends walked towards St. Paul Medical Center which is located about a block away from their condo. They drop by the coffee shop at the tower's front commercial space.

"Bakit may dala ka pang notebook? Wala ka bang phone?" Celine asked when she saw Jema taking down notes during their orientation.

"Ahhh eh, meron naman kaso medyo mabagal na eh... Tsaka mas gusto ko yung nagsusulat." Jema answered.

"Naku Jema, you need a good phone, para naman hindi ka nahahassle. Malaking tulong din yung makakaconnect ka sa internet." Celine insisted.

"Hayaan mo na, tsaka ginagamit ko lang talaga yung phone to contact my family. Tsaka diba sabi nung facilitator may mga computer kiosks naman and may mga tablets na available sa mga nurse stations, I can use that if need talaga." Jema explained.

"May point ka naman pero pag isipan mo pa din. I know you work hard for your family but rewarding yourself is important too." Paalala ni Celine.

Tumango na lang si Jema at patuloy silang nakinig sa orientation.

Matapos ang ilang oras ng pakikinig at panonood ng mga videos ay masayang lumabas sina Celine at Jema sa orientation hall. It's almost lunch time kaya pareho na silang gutom. Naglalakad sila papuntang cafeteria ng makasalubong nila si Jia.

"Jema! Celine!" Masayang tawag nito sa kanila.

They hugged each other and then decided to have lunch sa restaurant sa harap ng hospital.

"Don't worry guys, my treat!" Jia announced as they passed the main entrance of the hospital.

"Wow mukang good mood si, Dr Morado, ahhh," Celine commented.

After nilang umorder ay nagsimulang magkwento si Jia.
