For those few who are reading this story, sorry for taking so long with this update. I have been busy with my daughter's 2nd birthday, then getting her teeth pulled. I will try my best to post a chapter a week! Leave some comments and give me some inspiration.

It was hard to find a spot at my house to park as we are the last to arrive. Parking a short distance down the road, Roman jumps out of the car before I could even get my seatbelt off, and makes his way over to my door, pulling it gently open for me.

I give him a small warm smile, averting my eyes from his piercing blue ones. He sticks out his hand for me to take, hesitantly I slip my hand in his, a tingly electric feeling shoots through my veins causing my head to become fuzzy as he helps me out of the car.

He lets his cool hand slip from mine as we walk up the sidewalk to my house. My whole body seeming disappointed, and colder than his skin. I sigh as I continued to trudge on, until we finally make it to my house. Roman takes the three wooden stoop steps with grace, opening the door for me once again.

I bite my bottom lip from his gentleman like gestures, holding back a smile that threatened at my lips. He cocked his head to the side as he watched me, clearly amused by me. I quickly shake my head and enter the fully crowded house. I groan inwardly, always hating my house being so full. As I stare at the rather large crowd, I feel a hand slip on the small of my back. I gasp, jumping around quickly to stare at a smirking Roman.

He leans in slowly to me, making me think he was leaning in for a kiss. My eyes flutter shut, and my breathing hitches in my throat as I anticipate his lips. Nothing... Nothing happens. Then suddenly I felt my hair being brushed behind my ear the my hair was replaced by something soft and cool. Causing an eruption of a zoo to go off in the pit of my stomach. My breathing comes out uneven and raspy as I listen to him whisper into my ear,

" I promise to not leave your side the entire night, that is if you don't want me too. You're going to be all right." His hauntingly sweet voice flows through my ear making me swoon and my legs weak.

I give him a shy nod as I feel his hand on the small of my back, giving me the courage to move forward. I walk slowly through the hordes of people gathering all throughout the main floor of my house. People constantly trying to stop me to give me their condolences, only receiving a quick nod from me, or a haste 'thank you', as I continue on my search for my parents.

Rounding the corner, I spot them standing in between the living room and dining room, talking to a large group. I put on a faint smile and walk to then, Roman in tow with his hand still on the small of my back.

Once we finally manage to reach them, I feel Roman slip his from me. I sigh from the missing feeling and give my head a quick shake.

"There you are Sweetheart!" My Mom beams, wrapping her arm around my shoulders and giving me a kiss on the cheek.

I stand beside my Mom quietly as both my parents  continue to speak to the group consisting of my relatives. My eyes began to roam the room as I sense Roman has left my side.

'Oh quit being such a drama queen. He promised he wouldn't. Plus it's not like he's your boyfriend, so stop acting so obsessive. You don't even know this guy for crying out loud!'

My subconscious screamed at me, causing me to frown. I don't know why I have such this strong connection to him, nor do I know why I feel so safe and protected when he's by my side. I just do, I can't explain it. Maybe all this stress is just getting into my head, making the absurd things.
