A couple days later the couple made a trip to the market. Hux has used those days to think about the news about the baby. To tell the truth he of course never thought he would become one. But now that it was presented to him, he was overjoyed. And to see Cet was happy and glowing about it made him even more excited for it. He wondered what the child would be a boy or a girl. All he was hoping for was for the baby to be healthy. Since she told him, he had started to notice her stomach had a small bump on it, signaling where the baby was. He felt a sense of pride at the thought. They decided to make a trip to the market to look for the supplies for the baby's room, formally known as Poes room. As Hux was examining some wood, Cet walked off to examine some baby clothes.

Hux looked off into the distance and almost fainted at the sight. His father was standing at the corner of the market with his chest puffed, and hands folded, with a scowl on his face. Hux took a deep breath and approached his father who looked unpleased.

"Father what are you doing here?" Hux asked.

"Is that anyway to greet your general?" He asked, with no emotion.

"What are you doing here?" Hux asked again.

"I've come to take you home." He said, with no emotion.

"No, I'm not leaving." Hux stated, determined.

"Oh and why is that?" Clearly amused, but his sons sudden boldness.

"I have met someone." He nearly whispered.

"Yes I know all about it. You married someone to stay out of jail. Well she filled her end of the bargain, you can come with us now." His father said with disgust.

"Us?"

"Yes do you think I would come alone did you?" His father laughed out.

"I am not going General." Hux said, formally.

"Yes you are." His father demanded.

"No I'm not. I have renounce anything to do with the new order. I want to stay here." Hux told him, not backing down.

"And what live a normal life? That isn't what you were born to do. You were born to take my place after I pass." The general laughed out.

"I don't want that anymore father, give it to someone else. I like it here. It is something for myself that makes me happy." Hux tried to explain.

"It's that girl who as changed your mind. She had corrupted you and all of your training." He assumed, hissing, while his voice rose.

"She had done nothing father but show me that love is real and that I am my happiest when I am with her." Hux defended her, becoming angry.

"If you don't give up this foolish idea I will be forced to use drastic measures." His father threatened.

"What drastic measures?" Trying to hide his worry.

"Let's just say you won't like it." The general chuckled.

"You will not touch them." He warned.

"Oh? So them? You're wife is pregnant ha? Well things just got more interesting." His father gave a mischievous smirk.

"What do you mean?" Hux questioned.

"What I mean is the moment the baby is born we will have it shipped off to become one of the soldiers, so it could follow in your foot steps." He father reasoned.

"You will not touch them. Her or my child. And my child will not be joining the order." He seethed at the thought of them being hurt.

"Who are you to tell me what to do? I ought to have you whipped." His father hissed.

"Your son. I'm asking you nicely to leave them alone." Hux said sternly.

His father huffed and left the area. Hux walks back flustered but continues to look at the wood. He feels a hand placed softly on his shoulder and he looks to his side and sees Alexa standing there smiling at him. He quickly throws her arm off of him.

"When will you get the hint? I do not want you and never will. So get a grip and leave me alone." He yelled, still enraged from before.

She looks at him appalled and stormed off. Hux shook his head and soon Cet came into view. It was clear she saw the whole thing and smiled up at Hux and worry on her face by her anger. She asked him what was wrong but he just told her it was nothing to worry about. She nodded and gave him a quick kiss and together they just went home. Hux keeping alert the whole way.

Late that night, with the thoughts and worry of what his father could possibly, he held her tightly to him afraid to lose her. And put on hand on her small bump.

"I promise to protect both of you." He promised, as he fell asleep.
