Comics and the movies don't depict this man other than just a ruthless tyrant who doesn't know what he is doing. But what if I told you that's just one side to Hux. There is the side no one under his command was allowed to see.
General Armitage Hux...
It didn't take long when Hux got on the ship that he had his hands tied behind his back and was beaten by his father and the storm troopers under his command. Hux became angrier with every blow. He received several strikes to the face and his body. After a while blood started to show on his face, and his body started to ache. He felt it was worth it, all of it was, just as long as his family was safe. Soon the bearings stopped and his father walked in.
The herbal approaches his son, they made eye contact, and the general slapped him, "I'm so disappointed in you. You could've been a great leader, but you had to go and fall in love and wanted to live a normal life."
"It's a better life than I was living here." Hux spat out, with the blood dripping from his face, looking at his father with disgust.

"That girl corrupted your mind." His father said with no emotion.
"She did nothing of the sort father." Hux seethed.
The general chuckled, "Oh that's right she gave you love and affection. And look where that got you. Love is a weakness women use against us."
Hux gave him a death glare, "You're wrong. Love is the strongest thing and it will last forever."
"Well, no matter. You'll never see them again." The General turned around and started to walk away. "You will be sent to a cleansing room and there you will remain until this spell she had over you goes away. You will be brought back to us and you will serve as the new General after I am gone."
"Never."
