Out of the Darkness

Chapter Twenty-Five:

Hux didn't get to live with his little moment of triumph because Kylo returned and they had to meet him at his hanger. He soon stepped through from his ship and together they started walking. Hux walked with his hands behind his back behind the two men.

"Report General Pryde." Kylo said without sparing a glance.

"There has been a development sir the knights of Ren tracked the scavenger to a realm called Kageemie." Pryde informed him. They all stopped walking and Kylo faced them.

Hux then asked, "Should we destroy the city?"

"Stop right there." And with that Kylo walked away leaving both men with no idea what he wanted them to do.

They saw he turned around and went back to his ship. They were informed by a crew member that Kylo had left to get the girl on the Kageemie. While he was gone both men were summoned to the bridge where someone had infiltrated the ship. Pryde and Hux ran down to the ship area and saw an unfamiliar ship.

He then turned and asked Hux who followed, "Who's ship is this?"

Hux informed him how it was with the resistance and the scavenger was on board. They quickly went back to the bridge where they looked at the cameras and sure enough he was right. They spotted them through the cameras. Hux had to keep from smiling inwardly knowing his brother in law was in board and was safe. He ordered for more troops to surround them as they saw Poe and his friends getting around the ship. The girl was no where to be seen with them, but they didn't care they figured she was still on Exegal. The troops soon surrounded the men and they were taken into custody.

The Generals walked along and waited for the men to be brought to them. As they waited by the hanger they were soon brought through it and there was Poe and Finn being held by the storm troopers. Pryde stood before them, and Hux diagonal behind him. Hux held an amused expression while Pryde was more angry and stone cold. They both heard from the storm trooper that the scavenger was not with them.

Pryde then said, "Take them away. Terminate them." And he walked away.

Hux stood there staring at them, and the men looked to each other. "Well men, you heard the Allegiant General. Let's get this over with. We have a war to win."

The troopers turned the men around and followed Hux as he led them to a torcher room.

"Long time no see Hux." Poe told him, in an amused tone.

"Time changes a man." Hux informed him.

"I can see that." Poe said amused. Hux missed this, but he had to be the bad guy for now. Soon his plan will come into effect, and he knew just what to do. Hux was just happy to see him.

"For however this ends, I'm just glad I got to see you again." Poe told him honestly.

After a pause, "Yeah, me too."

They soon arrived to the torcher room and the troopers had them stand in the line in front of them. Three for three. It went from Wookee to Poe to lastly Finn.

"Actually," Hux stopped them and walked over to the side of one of the storm troopers, "I'd like to do this one myself."

"You still believe he will come to our side?" Finn hissed to Poe.

"Yep." After a short pause, "What were you gonna tell Rey before?" He whispered to Finn.

"Still on that?" Finn asked.
