Out of the Darkness

Chapter Twenty-Two:

After Leia was sent into a hyper type sleep coma, Poe couldn't help but think of different ways to put jump out of the first orders cannon range. Finn was trying to escape and Rose caught him. Together they argued but came to an agreement that the ship was running out of fuel and that they were being trccked through hyperspace. After they reached a conclusion about what to do they run to tell Poe who was sitting next to Leia as she got better. Thinking of what to do since he could no longer go to the bridge. Finn and Rose entered time tell him about the idea they have come up with. After explaining how they met and what the plan was they each shook hands and nodded in agreement of what each have to do. Finn and Rose were to go find the master code breaker and Poe was to buy them some time so they could jump to hyper speed.

"I'll go ready the pod." Rose told them, then she left the area.

Poe looked around trying to figure out what to do and what plan he needed he then noticed that Finn was standing still no emotions showing just looking at the space. "What's wrong Finn?"

Finn didn't look at him, "I'm just nervous about going back. Have to see Hux and I hate the man he's not the most forgiving."

"You met him?" Poe asked sitting down in a chair grabbing two drinks and handing one to Finn.

Finn nodded at him in thanks to the drink but then explained looking away from him, "Well no, just in passing. But my fellow shoulders did and he isn't the most kindest person. He can be very spiteful. At least that what I was always told. Everyone hates him."

"Well that's a matter of opinion." Poe shrugged as he took a sip of his drink.

"What do you mean?" Finn asked, looking at him as he took a sip of his drink.

"I know Hux and I don't hate him, but truth be told he is actually forgiving. Just not at this moment in time." Poe took another sip.

"Wait, you know Hux?" Finn asked amazed as he turned his body to look at Poe.

"Yeah I knew him, still know him. I knew him before he was the general of the order." Poe answered, thinking back to the good times.

"How?" Shocked.

Poe chuckled, "He married my sister."

"You're kidding me. How did that happen?"

Poe sighed, but looked him in the eye, and leaned forward, "I don't know the full details but, what I do know is that one day about six almost seven years ago, he was rallying people up so that they could join the first order. Long story short he met my sister that day in the market and then got arrested shortly after. She bailed him out, I don't know why she did, but anyway she told him he would need to stay with her until the trial is over. He agreed and he moved in with her and he took up my old room. I arrived soon after and set it up with the council that he will get married to my sister and then he will give up his quest and then the plan was after a little while they could null the marriage. It seemed to work. They were married not long after. I then had to go away for a while and it turned into a long while. During that time they somehow fell in love with each other and by the time I got back, after I forget how long, she was pregnant."

Finn shook his head at the information, "Wait he had a baby?"

Poe nodded, "Yeah a son they named Aiken."

Finn took another sip of his drink, "It's hard to picture him as a father."

Poe looked to the sleeping Leia but then back to Finn, "Say what you want but he loved that boy the moment he saw him."

"Then what happened?" Finn asked intrigued.

Poe took another sip, "His father found out about him and my sister. He was mad his son blew the mission and fell in love. Hux told him that he wasn't going to come back. His father was angry and the day after the birth of Aiken, he sent Kylo to get him and threatened to take his family away from him if he didn't come back. In order to save us, his family, he gave himself up. He promised my sister he would come back to her. Nothing prepares you for the way he looked broken as they dragged him away. That's why he is who he is today. We haven't seen him since, but I make sure he is alive since this whole things started so my sister would have a peace of mind."

He took a breath, "But sadly it didn't help that the day after he was taken so was my sister, I and her son to see our father at the republic. He was angry once he found out my sister had a baby with who he considered the enemy. She was torchered and was scheduled to die. I was beaten for letting that happen to her. So I can e up with a plan where we would fake her death and then I'll hide her and the baby. It worked, and no one has found her. Revenge was served because the republic was blown up by the first orders weapon."

"That was because of Hux." Finn told him. "That was his machine."

"What do you mean?" Poe asked, giving him a confused look.

Finn sighed, remembering the time he was there, "It was well known that Hux helped build the machine that destroyed the republic. Hux spent many years building that machine with everyone else of course. He put a lot of work into it."

"But why?" Poe asked, on the edge of his seat.

"When I asked what the machine was for that he was building the older ones that have been there for years said it was out of revenge. When I asked for details I was told that it was because he was angry and blamed the republic for something so he wanted to take revenge on it. After that I faintly heard mention of a woman named Cet maybe once, but then that was it. But I know he has never mention his wife or his kid at all." Finn said trying to recall.

"Of course he wouldn't, he thinks they are dead. That makes so much sense." Poe said coming to a realization.

"It has to be. Where is your sister now?" Finn asked.

"She's hidden alive and well with her and his son who is five now." Poe informed him.

"Where?" Finn asked.

"She is back and hidden on Naboo but a more secluded part." Poe told him.

"Do you think if he found out that they were alive he would turn to our side?" Finn asked, knowing he knew them better?

"It's worth a shot. We just have to get the message to him that they are alive." Poe told him shrugging.

"But how?"

"I have no idea." Poe admitted exasperated. "But do you see no matter what he does I cannot hate him? I mean the man gave up his life to keep my sister and his son safe."

"I can see why." Finn told him looking down felling bad for Hux for the first time ever. "What does he look like?"

"You never seen him?" Shocked.

"No I was in charge of the trash, so I never came in contact with him. But I know others have." He admitted.

"He is a tall skinny guy with pale skin, but how you can tell it's him is by his red hair. His son has a combination of his and her hair. But Aiken looks exactly like his father. Aiken misses his father and wonders if I will bring his father back to him. So my goal for my sister is to bring Hux to them. I just hope it works." Poe looked back at Leia, then then to Finn and stood up and Finn followed his movements, "Now we are wasting time. You have to go. We have to finish this mission. I'll stalk for as long as I can." Poe informed him, pushing him out the door and to the pod where Rose was waiting. With one last good luck Rose and Finn both left on a pod to find the master code breaker. Leaving Poe to think about Hux and what he could be doing now.
