Okay, I'm sorry for this being so delayed, but honestly I can't find motivation for this story. I've done what I could with my personal life continuing to be bothersome and time consuming. So cheers to a good run, as I was originally going to discontinue the story, but instead I'm going to finish strong with an epilogue. Thank you for supporting me and allowing me to create fan content. Alright, I'll leave you alone to get to the story, thanks. :)

----

I wake up beside my wife in the shrine. She hasn't awaken yet. Good.

I make my way down to the kitchen and gently open the fridge. I grab out all the ingredients I'd need to prepare her a breakfast in bed.

Raising children isn't easy, especially since we had our third child three years ago, and she is quite the handful.

Ajisai and Kitoru are now five and are constantly messing with each other or shying away behind Yukine whenever they go out. I will admit, Yukine has stepped up lately and been more of an older brother than I initially expected. He fights for the twins and doesn't hesitate to protect them and to play with them, whatever it may be. That thought alone makes me grin with pride.

As for Yori, she's been tired more and tries her best to do everything with us. Carrying, birthing, and raising demigods can be tiring, but she always bears a smile and pulls through. She's so strong, and I love her immensely for that.

I smile to myself and begin preparing Hiyori's breakfast. I've noticed lately she doesn't care for eggs and grimaces at the sight of them. I mentally check off all I've learned about her these last couple weeks, and with that knowledge acquired, I get to work.

It's about an hour later when I finally finish everything and get ready to bring it to her.

Walking down the hall, I pass the grandfather clock Bishamon gifted to us last spring, and I mumble to myself, "7:23, she'll be up soon."

I carry the tray with me all the way to our bedroom and cautiously turn the bronze doorknob. She's sound asleep with her hair disheveled, and her arms instinctively resting over her abdomen. I raise an eyebrow as I dismiss my thoughts, and I tiptoe over to her.

It's then when I hear the door swing open and the twins burst in followed by a sleepy three year old.

I raise my finger to my lips and they stop advancing, save for the tired toddler, Sakana.

I quietly chuckle and rush over to pick her up and keep her occupied. Her small and chubby fingers intertwine with my hair and she begins twisting the indigo locks around in small rings across her hands.

With a smile I direct the twins to the tray I prepared, and that's when Yukine walks in with two pieces of paper in each hands.

One of them is covered in glitter, uncooked macaroni noodles, and white glue. The other, remains slightly creased with scribbles of a rainbow and smudges of pencil lead across the margin.

I grin at both of them and turn to ruffle the twins' hair. Ajisai laughs it off while Kitoru pouts.

We direct our attention back to Yori, who still remains unaware of her alert surroundings.

It takes three nudges and Sakana's baby dribble to wake her up.

"What- Who?" she groggily announces.

"Happy Mother's Day," I tell her.

She shifts toward the nightstand where I set her breakfast and she smiles. Magenta eyes well with tears and she starts sobbing.

"Y-Yori!?"

With a final sniffle, she extends her arms and envelopes us all into a hug. I beam back at her and messily kiss her head. She giggles and allows the twins to share their gifts.
