Day Off

When I awake, life seems rather peaceful. Nothing too big happening, outside is quiet too.

For these last few months nothing exciting has happened. I've seen my family go off on jobs a few times, but nothing big has happened. And I'm kind of bored nowadays. Just sitting around not really being able to contribute much with my stomach holding me back.

"I'm sick of this," I think aloud.

Yato turns to me on the couch.

"Of what?"

I rest my hands on my stomach and sigh.

"We don't do anything fun, anything exciting."

I hear a chuckle behind me and I assume it's Yukine blaming Yato for our lack of joy.

"You see, I wasn't the only one, Papa," he whispers with another laugh.

Yato turns red and is ready to strike a hit on Yukine when I stop him.

"Don't touch him. I know you hate when he teases you, but he's right. We need to go outside. It's summer now. There's heat and a ton of activities to do," I scold.

They nod in unison and Yato slumps on the couch. He looks around and peers at anything he finds interesting.

"I think we should go to a water park," Yato says.

"That sounds interesting. Will Hiyori be able to go?" Yukine joins in.

I groan and look to my stomach. I hate being held back because of it, but I'd do it anytime for the life inside of me.

"You two are not going to leave me behind. I'm so going. I won't be able to ride most of the rides, but I can still sit in the pools and relax in the water."

They nod again and Yato stands up.

"It's decided then. We're gonna beat the July heat with a water park," Yato announces standing up.

"When do we go?"

"Now! Go get your things!"

"Now?!" Yukine and I say together.

He nods and smirks.

I try to get up, which ends up being a complete failed attempt.

Yato smiles again and turns in front of me with his hands out. I reluctantly accept his offer, but I'm most embarrassed I have to ask for help to stand.

"Alright Yori, go get your stuff. Be done in less than ten okay?" he smiles, jingling the car keys on his finger.

I turn to our bedroom. We haven't exactly gone out to a public event in a while, but it's nice that he's willing to find something we can all do. 

I don't have much to wear because of my size, and most of my swimsuits are small.

I end up find something that doesn't show too much skin, and still covers my bump. It looks like a shirt and shorts at first glance, but there's a blue bikini top under the white shirt with a net/lace cover built into the bottom of the top piece. It makes me feel a little better about my situation knowing I'm not totally exposed. Especially when I'm pregnant.

I have blue shorts on that partially match, because I'm self-conscious about my thighs and hips. Other than that I'm pretty much done. I have to wear over-sized flip flops because the summer heat makes my feet swell up, but I don't mind. I just want to leave the house and relieve the heat.

I grab my large bag and fill it with spare clothes, a towel, my phone, my wallet, and a few other things too.

I go outside to meet Yato, and I see Yukine talking to somebody. At first glance I don't recognize them, but I immediately know who they are now.
