Rafe's pov
---Hearing her mumble my name, that alone made my body stop functioning, my muscles seemingly turned to inanimate cotton, my mouth wide open but without the ability to take in air or turn any I had left in my lungs into words. And seeing me had the same type of effect on her as she stepped closer and then combusted to the ground beside me. I still wasn't able to control my muscles but they did move by their own accord, wrapping my arms around her and gripping to her so tight that I was surprised that she still was able to breathe, even if they came out as choked sobs. She had pressed her face on my shoulder, was hugging me tight as well and now let tears of relieve, surprise and happiness flow. And when one rolled off my cheek I realized that I had mirrored the action. Not a word was spoken, not a movement was made, we just stayed like this all throughout the sunset, as if letting go for even a moment would mean losing each other again. Night soon arrived and with it came an extreme tiredness. Our strong emotions hadn't let us notice but the rough wooden floorboards we had kneeled on for several hours had gotten very uncomfortable. So with much dismay and the continuance of the silence, we moved over to the bearskin in the cabin that was used as a bed. And as the last cinders of the fire turned to pure ash, we fell asleep, still holding each other.

"Morgo," a voice whined. I wasn't asleep anymore but I definitely wasn't awake either. "Morgo," it repeated. "I need your help." My sleepy haze clouded my mind, preventing me from connecting the dots.
"If you need Morgo's help so much, why don't you go ask him?" I grumbled in my tired state.
"That's what I'm doing." Only then did I wake up enough to remember what had occurred yesterday. After taking my breath in my new life, Granny Peet had warned me that if I truthfully told the village who I was they would rip me apart and I had realized that she was right. Therefore, I had introduced myself to everyone, including the children one of which was the boy, Lucas, standing at the edge of the bed now, as Morgo. He was speaking to me. So against my body's wishes, I opened my eyes. As I did I saw the little boy I had taught right before Kate came in. His eyes were tearing up and his hand lifted to prevent it from hitting something and thereby cause more pain. A big burn wound was on his palm.
"What happened?" I whispered, not wanting to wake up the beautiful girl sleeping beside me.
"The trick you showed me, I wanted to let my friends see it but it didn't work. The coal burned my hand."
"I told you you shouldn't have done it without me around." Lucas didn't answer. I sighed, knowing that I wasn't going to get any more rest for at least the next hour. "I'll get up and help you." Before I carefully slipped from under her arms I gave Kate a quick kiss on her forehead.
"Morgo's got a girlfriend," Lucas chanted teasingly, but still showed respect by keeping the volume low.
I simply grinned and teased back. "Jealous?"
"Very," he chuckled as we left the hut so we could normally converse.
"Did you let an adult look at it yet." He shook his head.
"But my friends did."
"Your friends aren't experienced enough to suffice."
"That's why I came to you."
"Bandages?"
"Nicolas has some."
"Then bring me to him." We walked into another house in the village, the one that belonged to Nicolas. Just like all the others this one had a fireplace in the middle that spread light and warmth. All Lucas' friends sat around it, clearly worried about the burn their young comrade had received. "Who is Nicolas here?" A small blonde boy raised his hand.
