Clare's pov
---"I know you're awake." That did it. My fight or flight instinct took over, I pushed him as hard as I could and rolled on the other side of the bed. But only when I pressed my back against the wall did I realize that I doomed myself. There was nothing on my side of the bed. Only a wall and a small window that was too high up for me to jump out of. He easily blocked the narrow hallway that led to the exit. "You saw," he growled.
"Yeah, no kidding, Sherlock! Maybe if you wanted some privacy you should have left the hotel!"
"Shut it!" he snapped.
"Or what?!" He stepped towards me with a firm step and before I realized what was happening he had his hand around my throat and was applying pressure on it.
"You don't know when to shut your mouth, do you?" I scratched and kicked but he wouldn't budge. His strength appeared almost non-human. "You never knew when to quit." I gasped for air but none of it reached my lungs. Before my sight went blurry I saw his eyes glow gold, shimmering like stars. But they didn't look as beautiful as them, the intensity about them was utterly terrifying. I was relieved when I couldn't see them anymore. My body was slowly giving up. Everything seemed so far away. But still, I recognized that the voice that was yelling wasn't my husband's. It was filled with rage and impassioned.
"Hurry up! Do it! Kill her! She's useless anyway, she's just stopping you from discovering your true potential! She's the only thing standing in your way to freedom!" I felt his hand tighten even more and then... I didn't. Every sense fell away, leaving me in complete peace. But that feeling was ripped away from me again as fast as it came. µ
The ringing in my ear was back as I hit my head on the floor. The blurry scene in front of me slowly became clearer. A bright purple light made it clear to me who was here. "That's more than enough!" Margery yelled. The magic in her hand slowly fading away. Richard was on the ground a very light smoke coming from him after the spell had hit him. Trembling, he tried to get up. "Don't move or you'll get another blast." He stayed still. "Claire, are you okay?" I nodded my head still spinning from the lack of oxygen. "I'll help you up." she put me on the bed and healed the small wounds I had received with her magic. I became more and more aware of my surroundings. And just in time, I caught a glimpse of Richard standing behind her with his pocketknife in hand.
"Margery, watch out!" I stood up and ripped the knife out of his hand and threw it away. He pushed me and m vision went black as I hit my head for the second time today.

Micheal's pov
---"Morning, bunny."
"Morning," I mumbled. Wilamena and I were the only living souls in the kitchen so I thought that this would be the best time to discuss our conversation from last night. "Hey, Wilamena? About what we said yesterday-"
She immediately cut me off and said, "Don't tell me it was just a crazy thought? I meant it and even if you don't want to admit it, I know you meant it as well."
"Yes, at the time. But-"
"But what?" she asked, clearly upset. "Are you saying that you didn't mean anything you said yesterday?"
"No, I did mean some parts... in fact, I meant all of it. It's just that in hindsight some of those things weren't such a smart choice."
"Smart choice..." she muttered under her breath. "Why does every choice have to be smart with you? Yesterday you didn't say what you thought but what you felt. I know that."
"Yes, but-"
"For once in your life, Micheal, take a risk and go with what your heart tells you." I wanted to bring up my family... but our parents were gone again. A real family you couldn't call it. And I was sure Kate would take care of Emma. And of course, they would be sad. But if I left an explanation, I'm sure they'd be happy for me and move past it.
