Maybe it just started as a way not to be lonely
A way to not feel so alone
But what started as something I didn't think would last
turned into something I hope I never lose
Maybe you've been feeling lost lately
So I'll be the light to guide you in this confusing time
I want to be the one consistent person in your life
Don't push me away because you think you need to heal on your own
Let me be your healer
Let me kiss the scars you think are unlovable
And tell you that everything is going to be okay
Even if you don't believe me right now
I truly believe that we crossed paths to help each other reconcile the broken past we try so hard to forget
Let me love everything you hate about yourself
And teach you to love all of your flaws
I promise you're not too broken
I promise that I will be here to help you when you fall
I promise to be here when the world starts to fall apart
And be the one person who never turns against you
I wish I could say I love you in a way that would make you feel it
Because although I don't know all of you
I know that I love you beyond restraint
I constantly ask you to stay
But this is me promising to never let you go
It's us against the world
Even if it's a trillion to two
I like those odds
Because those odds mean that I get to love you, and you only
So let me guide you when you're lost
And when you can't feel anything at all
I promise to be patient
Because you are my person
And in a world full of people
I think that you were truly made for me
