I know we ended in a very weird place
All of the cards on the table and none to pick from
Almost as if we fit perfectly but not at all
I miss you more everyday
But I know you need space
Maybe this isn't forever
Or at least I hope it's not
I hope that one day I'll get to hold you
To kiss your beautiful skin
And see your beautiful soul
As friends
To tell you I love you and see your lips move as you say it back
But I'd be foolish to think you could ever be mine
Just know that if ever a time shall come
Where you need me
I'll be there
A sliver of my soul will always be yours
Maybe even a little part of my heart
Maybe one day we'll meet in a sunflowers field, on a sunny day
And talk, really talk
Or maybe, maybe, we'll move on
Our memory of each other slowly fading
Only to come up on rare occasion
But whatever happens
Forever and always, or maybe never
I love you
With all my heart
