*If you understand the reference about Evans dog I freaking love you*Evan
The city of Los Angeles... was a big difference from my home town back in Colorado.Moving to a whole new state isn't exactly all cupcakes and rainbows, just saying goodbye to my friends was the most painful thing I ever had to do.
I scrunch into a ball as I felt the plane's wheels bump against the airport runway, reminding me I had to make a whole new chapter for myself, make new memories, meet new people... oh, here comes the social anxiety.
I wouldn't be in this spot right now if dad hadn't gotten that promotion. However, I can't be mad, dad worked so hard for that promotion.
"Evan..." I slink out of my thoughts and twirl my head towards my mother sitting comfortably beside me, a magazine in her hands.
"Yeah, Mom?"
"You've curled up in a ball again."
"Oh! Sorry.." I clear my throat, expanding my legs off the seat and into the small gap between my chair and the seat in front of me.
"No need to get so petrified, you're going to be just fine once we get settled in," She rakes a hand through my hair with a content smile.
I could tell the move was hurting her as well but she was doing a better job at disguising it than me.
"It's just.. changing schools and moving states is a lot scarier than I thought!" I squeak, hugging my forearms.
"I don't blame you.. but I'm sure you'll make friends as soon as you get there and maybe you'll see some cute boys you fancy~" Mom wiggles her brows mischievously with a wide grin.
"Mom..." I groan out the word, hiding my face as she laughs.
Dad leans past mom and glared daggers into my eyes. "If any boy even thinks about snagging you away from us then they'll have to deal with me and my corporate army."
Mom bursts out laughing, attracting eyes as I slump deeper into my chair.
Thanos if you can hear me... please snap your fingers so I can disintegrate from this dimension....

"Emily!" I literally screech the blonde collie's name as she drags dad by her leash out the airport and towards me.
I bent down and let her give me all the sloppy kisses she couldn't give me during the plane trip.
"Evan what did we say about letting her lick your face," Mom scolds, sighing into her hand as I cuddle the collie.
"She's giving me love mother! We are soul mates!"
"She's giving you a whole heap of germs Ev."
"They're germs of love and affection!"

My back ached from moving my last box into my room. My bedroom was within a two-story house though we were only a family of four including Emily.
I can say that my room now was much larger than my other room in Colorado. I could finally fit my double bed along with my gaming and music set up.
My life is complete.
"Evan, can you take Emily out for a walk, just to stretch her legs," Mom peeps her head past my open door frame.
I twirl in my chair before stumbling out of the room to fetch her lead.

The sun was a lot warmer than in Colorado, not even a cloud in sight as the sky shone a pretty blue.
The familiar small townhouses were now big tall buildings with a million windows gleaming.
Emily sniffed everything, literally everything. The ground, a kids backpack, a lamp post and a woman's rear.
I'm still so sorry...
I don't walk Emily, she walks me.
She drags me down the pathways, around the crowds and into a pretty community square.
The scene was built of dark stone and flower beds along the benches.
A pretty fountain thundered in the middle of the square with people sitting around the stone brim.
My eyes lock to a small commotion.
I peep a gander towards a line of kids that looked the same age as me.
They were all carrying skateboards with no helmets. Do these kids want brain damage?
The tallest of the bunch tossed the board under his feet as he leapt into the air and grinds the board down a stair railing.
The rest follow his lead with the smallest bumping down the stairs with the board.
The sight takes me by surprise. Sure kids skateboarded back in Colorado but not like this.
They all proceed to do tricks as they skid across edges and flip their board's mid-air.
The smallest one did a quick ollie before abruptly pausing at my side.
"Aw! Puppy! Can I pat them?" He questions excitedly, his bright irises gleaming.
I chuckle at the request and nod.
The skater bent down and scratch his hands through Emily's wild fur. She didn't mind, her body content for once as she let the stranger give her pats.
"She's so fluffy..!" He coo's, letting Emily lightly lick his hand.
I snicker along with him, scratching her head as he reluctantly stood up with a satisfied grin.
"Thank you, I just can't help myself around dogs-" The stranger's sentence was cut off as Emily sprinted to the fountain with my tiny frame struggling to catch up.
"Emily no!" I yelp desperately but it was too late. Emily had already leapt into the fountain. The people around the fountain sprint away from the splash and glared angrily at us.
I had collided into the water with her, completely soaked as I spat water from my mouth.
"Emily...." I growl defeatedly as she acted as if this was normal and licks my face joyously.
"Are you alright!?" The stranger ran up to me with a half worried half-amused expression.
"Yep, Emily is... well Emily," I throw on a bluffed grin but I really just wanted to run from the embarrassment and take the worlds longest shower.
The brunette ruffled his hair with an amused grin before gaping his mouth at a distant call but my ears were too clogged with water to hear it.
"Oh that's my friends, gotta go. Nice meeting you. Pray you get in touch with a towel soon," The stranger remarked, jumping back onto his skateboard, waving farewell before skating away.
I gave him the faintest wave back before staring at the collie.
"You just love making me the asshat out of your shenanigans don't you?"
