It been about two weeks since I kissed David but it feels like it happened only yesterday. We have been seeing each other in secret however, during school breaks, chilling at the skatepark or on calls with each other at 1 am when he can't sleep.

It's been a magnificent few days speaking with each other, learning new things. He's very smart but doesn't really try, I guessed he had to keep up his cold and rebellious persona which meant he had surrender good grades to uphold.

Cool people can have good grades y'know!

I've sadly had to lie occasionally to Craig and our little squad on my next whereabouts, I wasn't sure if they'd like me hanging out with David.

Though we weren't official, which often made me anxious when he doesn't kiss me goodbye or greet me in the halls.

I really liked the boy, my heart would explode with anticipation when we organised a meetup or when I hear his Irish slur.

When he smiles, I smile. When he laughs that dorky laugh, I laugh. He's like a very happy puppy, he loves cuddles and kisses but is very distant at times. I'm scared he'll think we won't work but then he comes back to me with a goofy smile and entertaining stories when he finds the time.

I want to ask him to be my boyfriend.

But when I try too, my words are suddenly thrown out the window or someone interrupts us.

I really want to ask him because I really do like him.

The cheers of kids screaming with excitement and the rumble of the roller coasters zooming overhead made the theme park feel magical.

I've never gone to a theme park before, I never knew they could be so colourful and loud.

I follow my parents, who were still sick from a roller coaster ride. I, of course, was much too terrified to join but I had my fun watching them freak out.

Mom shared a plastic bottle of water with dad, both sitting on a colourfully painted bench with hints of graffiti on the wooden sides.

"Why don't you try out some of the small booth games here while me and your mom's stomachs return from our throats?" Dad laughs, his slur strained as if he was about to throw up. Well, throw up more.

I obey and explore into the large street of carnival-themed games, like shooting moving wooden ducks with water guns, popping balloons and tossing hoops.

I went to the basketball-themed booth. I didn't win much of anything other than the realisation that I was horrible at basketball.

With my loss, I inspect the moving crowd of families and friends exploring around the large theme park. I jerk my head when a small speck caught my attention.

I squint my eyes, seeing a small wandering body flicker with each stranger passing my vision.

It was a small boy with a pink teddy, most likely he had just won it. He had a worrisome look on his face as if he had just got in trouble with his mom.

He eyed the passing people who swung their prizes and balloons in the air, paying no mind to him.

I skim through the crowd, butting shoulders before I made it to the boy. I crouch to my haunches, the boy turning to me.
