Candle lit night

Oh but the fools they were,
Believing that Icarus fell,
That his last breath was taken by the waves...
Yes, he no longer breaths,
But that's only because he needs air no more...
His body is now light,
His wax wings now sun rays on your skin,
Oh, don't you see, my blind friend,
That he is smiling and dancing with the sun itself...
Ah, Apollo and him, forever in each other's loving embrace...
So hold a candle lit tonight, for it is the symbol of their love,
When the flames met the wax,
And allowed me to write this poem under the light of Artemis, my love,
tonight on this parchment and in this black ink,
As she smiles upon me,
As she smiles upon the story of her brother and his lover I'm writing,
She envelops me, with her soft rays of crescent,
As we share upon our secrets,
And the secrets of gods and lovers,
Doesn't the ambrosia smell wonderful, tonight?
