'The first day back from school after the holiday'. The time where all the basic girls just have to show off all the new jewelry and expensive clothes their parents had bought them. I always used to roll my eyes whenever I walked past someone screaming and cheering about their parent's wealth.
"Good morning" said Chase as I slowly started to daze off. "I'm sorry about yesterday" said Chase and threw a freshly made pancake onto my plate. "It's ok" I simply replied and started eating my pancake.
Chase had made the famous pancakes our mom always used to make before we started school. Even though he made pancakes for dinner yesterday, he decided it would only be fitting to make it today also.
"Here" said Chase and placed the bottle of syrup down on the table with a smile, "Thanks" I scoffed and poured the syrup all over my pancake. "Steven! Breakfast!" yelled Chase up the stairs to Steven, who came stomping down the stairs almost naked as always.
"Steven, get dressed!" I yelled and threw a piece of pancake with syrup on his boxers, hitting him just by his hip. "Hey, no need to throw stuff!" said Steven as he sat down beside me, eating the piece of pancake that had stuck itself on his boxers. "Ew!" I yelled and gagged by the thought of him eating food from his underwear that he had probably worn for a week or maybe two?
"Ey! I don't waste food like you do!" replied Steven and grabbed a plate and a pancake. "Chase, when do we leave?" asked Steven and stuffed his mouth with pancake drenched with syrup, making the syrup run down from his mouth to his chin and all the way back onto his plate.
"Can you not eat with your face?" I asked annoyed and disgusted by Steven and his behavior. "Why are you so angry all the time?" asked Steven and caught me off-guard, making me reflect why I get so angry by the easiest of things I could've ignored back before everything happened?
"I'm sorry" I simply replied and finished my breakfast, before I walked back upstairs and finished packing all my stuff to get back to school. I tried getting as close to finished with cleaning out my room, but I didn't get enough time.
I checked through all the stuff I thought of bringing, when I noticed that under the pile I had gathered, was all the pictures of me and Justin. "Is Justin one of the guys that left the fraternity?" I asked myself as I packed my last few pieces of trinkets I knew I didn't need, but wanted to bring for comfort.
"Steven! Get upstairs and get dressed!" I heard Chase yell from downstairs as Steven slowly made his way upstairs. "Isaac, we're leaving!" yelled Chase from the downstairs within seconds of Steven finally coming up the stairs.
"Do you need help?" asked Steven, still only wearing his old and worn-out boxers. "Yes please" I replied and tried to hand him my heaviest bag, but he just yelled for Chase to come up to help me.
Chase came running up the stairs to my rescue and grabbed both of my bags and all I had left was just my small backpack. "Come on now!" yelled Chase on his way down the stairs and out the door. "Coming!" I yell back and walk down the stairs and out to my mom's old car.
"Isn't Steven coming?" I asked and looked back at the house as I sat inside the car and Chase started to drive away. "No, he's getting a ride from a friend" replied Chase and pushed the down on the gas and we drove off.
