war begins & goodbyes

As inhaled quickly as I finally saw
the light of day again. I place my hands on
the ground and weakly lift myself up. Roses.
What the hell? I was laid to rest in a rose
patch. But not any rose patch, it was
Kook's, this was his mother's rose patch
that was in his garden.

I shakily stand to my feet, it seemed as
if it was the same day but it's now late
afternoon. The sun was setting, it was
a beautiful orange and yellow. I place
my hand on the moonstone necklace
Mrs. Jeon gifted me with. "Thank you"
I whisper to myself as I close my eyes.

"Jimin?" I hear a voice I haven't heard in
a while. My eyes shoot open to see a shocked
Chin-Mae with his jaw dropped. "Mae" I say
"Jimin.... you're dead. I watched Jungkook
lay you here. You weren't breathing he said."

"Mae let me explain-"

"JIMIN HOW THE HELL ARE YOU ALIV-"

"shhhh~" I cover his mouth, you can't let
them know I'm alive" I whisper. Mae shakes
his head and pushes me off him. "Just tell
me how the fuck you're alive? Are you
something supernatural?" Mae asks.

"No but I possess something supernatural,
this" I show him my moonstone necklace.
Mae moves forward and gently places the
stone in his hand "This belonged to
Mrs. Jeon, a Salem Witch" he whispers.

"How did she give this to you?" he looks
up at me. "Remember when Kook locked
me inside that coffin, I died. But I met
her in some other type of dimension and
she gave me this to me. Saying that since
I'm here sons special human. She'd want
me protected" I explain.

"This... this is amazing! We have to tell
Master-" Chin-Mae says excitedly. "No,
Jungkook can't even know I'm alive" I
tell him "And why is that, Jimin?" Mae
asks confused.

"I was told not to. I need to get to my
parents house quickly" I say trying to
walk past Mae but he holds me back.
"I wouldn't do that if I were you, Jungkook
and his father are having a talk in there"
he informs me.

"Well fuck me" I breath out. Suddenly, we
heard the doors to the garden area open.
Chin-Mae looks back and pushes me back
into the rose patch "Act dead" he mouths
to me and I do as told and close my eyes,
shallowing my breathing while slowly my
heart pace.

"Master Jungkook is your meeting with
your father finished?" I hear Mae ask.
"Hmm.. why are you out here?" Jungkook
questions. "J-Just mourning a friend,
Master" Mae answers. "You don't look
too sad" he says.

".... I guess the sadness hasn't hit me yet"
Mae tries to keep his composure but I can
hear him about to give in. "Mm. I trust you,
Chin-Mae. So, I won't compel you to tell
me what's going on" Jungkook tells him.

"If you feel sad, you don't have to mask it.
I miss Jimin more than I let on but being sad
won't bring him back" I hear Jungkook's voice
cracks but he clears his throat and I wanted
to open my eyes so badly.

"Jungk- Master, I know vampire senses
are heightened. So, I know you feel so guilty
right now" Mae tries to comfort him. "I feel
more than guilty... my lover, fríend.. my
special human is now dead because of a
stupid decision I made out of anger so many
years ago" it sounds like Jungkook was crying.

Chin-Mae was silent for a while as Jungkook
quietly cried "Master, go inside. I'll come
and make you tea in a second" he says. And
I hear Jungkook walks off.

Chin-Mae helps me up off the roses. "Get
on my back" he whispers. I raise my
eyebrows "He'll hear you walking" he says.
My mouth forms into a 'O' shape and I
jump on his back.

Mae quickly but quietly sneaks through
the main hall. And sets me down after he
shuts the front door. "Here" he hands me
keys "These are to my car, just leave it at
your house and I'll collect it later" he tells
me.

"Thank you, Mae..thank you so much"
I hug him "Anytime Min, just be safe out
there. And I hope I'll be able to see you
again someday" Chin-Mae pulls away and
smiles at me. "Hurry.. before he suspects
something" Mae scurried me.

"Bye, Mae"

"Bye, Min"

We said our last goodbyes. I hurry over to Mae's
car and get in and begun to drive off.

"They're starting a what?!" my father
exclaims. "Yup, they're starting a war because
of some vampire named Akma. They want
vampires to be superior to all humans"
I explain. "This is so sudden...I don't have
enough time to warn the hunter's council."
My mom then turned up the tv's volume.

BREAKING NEWS
"The Vampires gone wild.
We thought the vampire species were
only in fantasy books but this is real!"
the news reporter exclaims.
"People please stay indoors!
Lock your doors- ACKKK"
my dad and I jump up in
fear as the news reporter
got his neck ripped out
on live tv. The guy drops dead
and the vampire attacks the
cameraman, making the tv suddenly
cut off.

        "Shit!" my dad curses "Damn
vampires!" he exclaims. My mother just sits
there smiling to herself "Mom?" I ask in
concerned. "Hm?" she hums "Are you okay?"
I question and she nods. "Dad-" I look away
from my mom to see my dad gone.

He then entered the room with a shotgun.
"Here, protect you and your mother, it has
wooden bullets" he hand me the gun. "Honey,
don't you think witch can handle herself against
a vampire?" mom chuckles. "HUH?" I drop the
gun "MOM YOU'RE A WITCH?" I ask. She
nods her head, smiling "Gosh.. I'm just
surrounded by the supernatural" I whispers.

I reach down and grab the gun "Dad hurry
they need you" I tell him. "Alright... both
of you take care. I'll come back when
things cool down. Then we're getting the
hell out of this city" he tells us and leaves
the house.

"Jimin honey.. do you want some tea?"
she asks calmly. I chuckle "Yes.. yes I do
mom."
