doorstep surprises & new additions

-𝟑 𝐘𝐄𝐀𝐑 𝐋𝐀𝐓𝐄𝐑-

It reeked havoc in the cities of Seoul,
Busan, Daegu, Incheon, Gwangju.
The vampire already invaded
those city and killed most of
those cities citizens or turned them
into vampires. They were
planning to take over the rest of
Korea.

My father, mother and I were staying
in Ulsan. Father said that we have to keep
moving every time the vampires raided the
city we were living in.

I was in my room, reading a book.
Something I wouldn't usually do. Since,
I could easily die at any moment, I took
my mom's advice and strayed away from
my "addictive" phone.

Vampires would literally break into houses
and kill the humans living in them.
But my mother put a spell on the house,
where no supernatural being could enter
without being invited in by either my father,
mother or me.

In these three years miserable years. All
we've done was run and run and fight.
Well, I did become a certified "Vampire
Hunter" by dad after he taught me everything
I needed to know to slaughter a vampire.

But sometimes when I zone out, I can't
help but think is Jungkook alive. Did my
father kill him? Did another hunter kill
him? Is Chin-Mae doing okay? Where is
Taehyung? And is he alive and alright?

I can't help but think about all this. But
of course, these questions may never be
answered. Suddenly, the front door was
being knocked. It's probably mom and dad,
they went on a grocery run earlier and I
had to lock the door. But if it's not them,
I placed a pistol with wooden bullets in
my back pocket.

I did a quick little jog out my room and
downstairs. "Mom oh- hello sir" I say
confused there was an middle aged man
with a little boy holding his hand. The boy
was shaking his head no and silently
crying.

I felt bad.

"Please son, my grandson is starving and
none of these people will help us. Please
let us in...I'm begging you" the middle aged
man asks. "Uhh..where is his mother?" I
question "The vampires killed her" he says
putting on an wonderful show.

I wanted to laugh and the man for his
horrible acting. He obviously was a vampire.
But I had to keep stalling for the little boy.
He genuinely look terrified.

"Look... mister. My mother isn't here but
I'll bring some food for you, if youwant"
I smile. The man furrowed his eyebrows and
tried to lunge at me but the witch barrier
stopped him from even entering the house.

"What the fuck is this?!" he knocks on at
the invisible barrier. I chuckle "It was
obvious that you were a vampire, mister"
I tell him. He growls at me "I'll kill the boy"
he says and grabs the boy's neck. I didn't
hesitate to reach behind and let the gun off
at the man.

"AGH FUC-" I push the guy away and
pulled the little boy into the house and
slam the door. I kneel down "Hey..are you
okay?" I ask, the poor boy was shaking
and sobbing. I pull him into a tight hug.
"Do you want anything to eat?" I pull away
from the hug. He nods his head and sniffles
and he wipes his tears away.

I lead him towards the kitchen area "My
parents are out on a grocery run. So, we
only have applesauce and peanut butter
and jelly sandwiches or do you want
both?" I ask. "P-Peanut butter and Jelly
please" he finally spoke up. I hum and
pull out the peanut butter and jelly and
bread. And began to make the sandwich.

"So..what's your name? Mines is Jimin"
I ask the boy. "Mines is Gunwoo and I'm
seven years old" he whispers. I chuckle
"So.. Gunwoo where actually are your
parents?"I ask. "Th-That monster..he
killed mom and dad and then took me" he
says as he starts sniffling again. "I'm sorry,
I didn't mean to bring that up" I whisper.

"It's okay..thanks for rescuing me, Jimin-
hyung" he says. I smile at the word hyung
"Anytime Gunwoo" I say and hand him the
plate with the peanut butter and jelly
sandwich. "You can watch tv in the living
room if you want" I suggest.

"Yeaaah, I wanna watch SpongeBob" he
smiles as he walks out of the kitchen.
And I follow behind him.

"Jimin, you left an wounded
vampire at the doorstep. I had to finish the
job- Oh.. who is this?" father asks. Instead
of me answering, Gunwoo jumped up and
bowed to my father.. "Good afternoon, Mr
Jimin" he says quickly. I laugh "It's Park,
Gunwoo" I chuckle.

"Ohh.." he say looking embarrassed. My
mom walked in after "Aww~ Jimin who is
this?" my mom rushed over to Gunwoo,
squeezing his cheeks. "My name is Gunwoo,
miss" he says giggling. My dad beckons me
over to him, I stand up off the couch and
make my way over to him. "Why is the
boy here?" father asks me.

"That vampire on the doorstep was holding
him hostage. But the same vampire murdered
his whole family... and now he has no where
to go" I explain. "Hmm" he hums and walks
into the kitchen. I look back to see that
mom was sitting with Gunwoo as he was
watching fanboy and chumchum. I didn't
even know they aired this show anymore.

I look towards the kitchen door and follow
my dad. "Are you mad?" I ask "No...it's
just that now Gunwoo is added on the list
of people I need to protect" he tells me.
"So, tonight you and I are going on a
hunting run.. since there was a vampire
here today. It always okay to make sure
there's no more."

"Okay dad, I'll go get the weapons ready"
I tell him as I walk out the kitchen.
