Chapter 11

 Lefou's POV 

 I'm so proud of Gaston for having been confident enough to break the news to everyone about us being a couple right away. I'm not the kind of person that likes hiding my relationships from people. If I have to resort to that, it's not worth being in the relationship in my opinion. Thankfully Gaston seems proud to be with me, despite the flack he might get from the villagers once the news breaks out, which it's bound to in just a matter of time. There's always a mole in every royal court that is eager to leak out the latest gossip to people beneath them. It's not right but that's just how it is sadly.

     I hold Gaston's hand under the table, squeezing it reassuringly every once in awhile. I notice Adam studying me carefully and the heat rushes to my cheeks. "I-Is there something on my face Adam?" "No Lefou, not at all. I do have a question for you though if you don't mind me asking." Gaston notices my nerves building up and he becomes protective of me. "Anything you need to ask Lefou, especially if it's in regards to us dating, can be addressed towards me as well. Proceed with your question Prince Adam." Adam nods. "Yes, right... Do you plan on continuing your good behavior long term Gaston? Do you plan on being the best man can possibly be for Lefou? Lefou, do you plan on making sure Gaston continues to show up to class on a regular basis?" 

         Gaston and I both nod with absolutely certainty, though he speaks up first. "I absolutely plan on continuing to be a better man not only for Lefou but just in general. As cheesy as some of the lessons may be, they're doing wonders for me already. I don't love a lot of people but I love Lefou with all of my heart. My life wouldn't be complete without him in it." He looks at me with sincerity in his eyes. "I really do love you Lefou." I beam at him. "I love you too Gaston." I then look at Adam. "I never ditched Gaston before and don't plan on doing it now. He's stuck with me whether he likes it or not." He smirks at me. "I do like it, quite a lot actually." I roll my eyes playfully and lean my head on his shoulder.

         Belle smiles at our display of affection. "You two remind me a lot of Adam and I when we first were getting to know each other. It brings back a lot of pleasant memories despite the circumstances we fell in love under. I'm really happy for the both of you, truly. I believe the two of you belong with one another. I know you've been best friends for years but that's sometimes how the best love stories of all come to life. Falling in love with your best friend can be a magical experience." I smile at her. "I absolutely agree Belle." The rest of dinner and dessert is much more light hearted like it was when Gaston and I received a standing ovation of support for being together. I'm so happy, I wish I could stay like this forever.
