My Little Accident

“Sam! Time for bed.” I heard little feet run towards me. “Let’s brush your teeth, yeah?”

“Yeah.” She mumbled tiredly.

I picked her up and put her on the bathroom counter. “Open wide.” She opens her mouth and I continue to brush her teeth. “Come on, let’s get you to bed.”

I carried her into my room and put her in bed. I was hoping our furniture would arrive tomorrow so I could get her bedroom set up, but I was secretly wanting it to come late so I could have her cuddles.

I lay in bed next to her and pulled her close to me. I absentmindedly played with her dirty blonde hair while she slowly started to fall asleep.

“I love you.” I whispered and kissed her forehead. I let my eyes closed and fell asleep to her soft breathing.

“Ally?” I awoke to whispering. I opened my eyes to see Lauren standing next to the bed. “We’re gonna make the announcement now.”

I nodded and carefully unwrapped my arms that were around Sam. I pulled her away from my chest and tucked her in better.

“How long was I asleep?” I yawned and we made our way downstairs.

“I’m not sure. Maybe an hour?” Lauren shrugged.

“Oh…” We walked into the living room and saw Mila on the laptop on one sofa and Mani and Dinah on the other, eating and on their phones.

“Hi there sleeping beauty.” Dinah said and when she looked up from her phone.

“I’m so tired…” I plopped myself on the sofa Dinah and Mani were on, lying on half of them, my head on Dinah’s lap and my feet on Mani’s.

“You can go to sleep after the live chat.” Dinah stroked my hair.

“When are we starting?” I asked.

“Mila tweeted about it an hour ago and she’s setting everything up now, so it should be soon.”

“Guys, I’m starting, you know the plan.” Camila said from the sofa, putting the laptop on the sofa table. “Hi people! Can you hear me alright?” she pointed to her ear. “Good! I missed all of you so much. I feel like I haven’t done one of these in ages! But this one had to be done and I’m about to announce some exciting news!” All of us stood up ready to get in the picture, but we had to prank them one time. “I’m pregnant!”

We all almost burst out laughing. I clamped my right hand over my mouth and my left hand over Dinah’s.

“I’m just kidding! Seriously guys…” Camila laughed. “But I do have a very big announcement.” She looked at us with a huge smile.

Lauren walked in the frame first and sat next to Camila. “Hi guys! Long time no see, eh?” After a minute Lauren facepalmed and said “No, the announcement is not that Camren is real… Seriously, how are you not over that?”

Normani took that as her cue to come in. “What’s up?!” She smiled. “I missed you guys too.”

“DAWGS!” Dinah ran into the shot. I giggled quietly.

Then it was my turn to come in. I sat in between Lauren and Camila in the middle. “Hey y’all!” I saw the comment section saying things like:

‘OMG, DYING!’

‘So Camila isn’t pregnant?’

‘Camreeeeen!’

‘Crying right now! I missed you guys do much!’
