“Girls! I need to go out and get some stuff. Can you watch Sam?” I asked as I grabbed my purse.

“Yeah, sure. Where you going?” Dinah said.

“I just have to run some errands. Buy some children stuff and such. Sam’s taking a nap in her room. Can someone be there when she wakes up? It should be soon.” I took out the car keys.

“Yeah, I’ll go up right now. Can you buy some ice cream while you’re at it?”

“Yep. See ya!”

--Lauren’s P.O.V—

I walked the stairs and into Sam’s room. Her small figure was lying on the bed.

I smiled at the sight and slipped in beside her. I sat against the headboard, on my phone, waiting for her to wake up.

After about 30 minutes I heard a soft voice. “Lauwren?”

I smiled at her. “Good morning, princess. Did you sleep well?”

She nodded. “Where’s mommy?”

“She had to go out for a little bit so it’s just me and the girls.”

“Oh…” she yawned. “Lauwren?”

“Yeah princess?”

“I gotta go potty…”

I laughed slightly and got out of bed, picking her up. “Come on then.” I walked to the bathroom and pulled down her yellow pajama pants, placing her on the toilet.

“You hungry?” I asked her. She nodded. “You want cereal?”

She shook her head. “Mommy doesn’t want me to eat that. Milk makes my tummy ache.”

“Then we’ll just skip the milk.” I smiled and placed her on the counter. I took out a bowl and filled it halfway with cheerios. I passed her it and took a few for myself. She giggled and in a few minutes she was finished.

“Can I have juice?” She asked me.

“Sure.” I walked over to the cabinet we keep the glasses. It was high up and I could only reach if the glasses were near the edge. I didn’t see any but there could be more near the back. I kneeled in front of Sam, my back to her. “Sit on my shoulders.” I told her. She did. I walked over to the cabinet. “Do you see any glasses?”

“Yeah.”

“Can you reach them.”

“I thwink so.” She reached for them and pulled one out. She handed the glass to me.

The next thing I know is the glass slipping out of my hand and shattering on the floor.

“Shit.” I muttered.

I heard footsteps come downstairs and into the kitchen. All of the three girls stood in the doorway.

“What happened?” Mani said.

“Dropped a glass, no biggie.” I answered back.

“Come on honey. Let’s get you down from there.” Dinah reached her hands out to Sam.

Sam held her hands out while Dinah took her off my shoulders. Mani was full on sweeping the glass from around my feet making me able to walk again.

We all walked into the living room and turned on a child friendly show.

“What does shit mean?” Was heard from Sam.

All of our eyes widened.

“Lauren!” the girls yelled.

“Why do you assume it was me?!”

“Well was it you?” Mila asked.

“…yes.” I looked down.

“Really Lauren?! She’s three years old!” Dinah said.

“Almost four.” I argued.

“Just proves my point.”

“Well at least I didn’t say fuck.” I quickly placed my hands over my mouth when I realized what I said.

“Lauren!” Mani slapped my head

“You are unbelievable!” Dinah exclaimed.

“Who do you want to sing at your funeral? Cause Ally is going to kill you.” Mila said.

“No, Lauwren, you can’t die!” Sam said climbing onto my lap, putting her arms around me, burying her face in my chest.

“Hey hey, princess. Mila was just joking. I’m not gonna die.” I said wrapping my arms around her in return.

“You promise?” she asked, looking at me with her beautiful chocolate brown orbs.

“I promise.” I hugged her against me.

I looked at Camila and saw her draw her finger across her neck, mouthing ‘Dead’ at me.

We heard a door close.

Sam shot out of my lap. “Mommy!” she yelled.

I could hear slight chatter. Then I heard what I really didn’t want to hear.

“Lauren Michelle Jauregui!” Ally yelled.

Shit!

I mean crap!

Oh poop…
