Following the most unexpected, brief, yet genuine moment of friendship you ever had with Anthony, you were finally able to get to sleep - but you'd be lying if you were to say it was a dreamless sleep...
The sound of the ocean echoed in your ears as you stood on an empty beach with white sand tickling your feet. You could smell the salt in the air as the wind blew through your hair, forcing it away from your face.
As the water crashed upon your feet, you heard a voice sing. A woman's voice. She sang a soft melody. It was enchanting. You saw a light in the ocean, moving closer and closer, as did the woman's voice. Your breath hitched as the light stopped at a rock near the shore. Whatever the light was, it had truly peaked your curiosity.
A silhouette leapt out of the water and up onto the rock. A mermaid? A siren? A blue glow lined her body as she splashed water over her head. She had red seashells which barely covered her breasts. Her long, brown hair was surprisingly beautiful and stylish considering she had just been swimming around in the sea. Her skin was fair and she was clearly gorgeous. Enchanting. But what really drew your attention were her eyes. They felt familiar, as if you had looked into them a million times before. They were bright blue, like diamonds. You couldn't stop looking into them as she continued to sing for you.
Still being entranced by the siren's eyes, you began to walk towards her. A shiver rushed through your body as you stepped into the water. You didn't care that you were getting wet, even when you were hip deep. Her singing grew softer and softer as you got closer to the rock she was perched upon. You reached your hand out to touch the ragged rock, however, as soon as you did so, the siren leapt over you and swam away. You called out after her, but it was too late. She was gone.
You turned back to the rock, seeing that she had left something behind. Something that called out to you. You glanced up onto the rock to see what it was. Something you recognised.
A chain necklace with a red jewel on the end.
You awoke the next morning at the crack of dawn, with the light hitting your face through the open curtains. You laid in bed for a few moments, staring up at the ceiling. You'd never had any dreams like that. What did it mean? Did it even mean anything? Sighing, you sat up and rubbed your eyes before leaping out of bed to get dressed. You had a million other things on your mind; a silly dream was the least of your problems.
You couldn't help but feel the overwhelming need to talk to Harry about what happened yesterday. Maybe it was all a misunderstanding? Impossible. Maybe you were being to sensitive? No way. He was completely in the wrong. Either way, you knew that it would probably be the best idea to talk it out. When you left the room to go find Ginny, you noticed Jordan and Ben down the hall and assumed they were going to see Anthony. Remembering your conversation with him last night, you rushed over to them before they could enter his room.
"Morning guys!" You greeted them with the most cheerful wave you could muster.
"Wouldn't expect you to be up this early." Jordan commented.
"Yeah well... I am. Do you think you guys could do me a massive favour?" You were trying to think of something to distract the both of them with, racking your brain for anything.
"Of course, what is it?" Ben asked.
"It's uh..." you paused, "since you guys are awake so early, there's uh... there's these barrels in the kitchen with dirty dishes that really need cleaned before breakfast, do you think you could do that for me?"
"We're kind of about to do something really important." Jordan pointed out, looking you up and down in suspicion.
"Well we're close to having to do all this stone shit and I can't imagine how cruel it would be to make everyone do it without even having breakfast..." you claimed, attempting to play off their sympathy, "I would wait till other people were up, but then it would take forever to get breakfast ready and everyone'll be starving."
