Your father, The King of Hearts, was...well, he was a surprisingly short man with blonde hair. He wore a long red coat and a large golden crown, similar to yours but just a lot more grand and regal.
Tilting his head at the sight of you, he stood up from his seat on the throne.
"Introduce yourselves with a bow." The White Rabbit murmured to you.
"My name is Carlos De Vil." Carlos introduced himself with an awkward bow.
"And I'm Jane, the daughter of the Fairy Godmother." Jane curtsied.
"I'm Harry Hook." Harry bowed dramatically.
You took a second to speak. The eye contact you were sharing with your father was unstoppable. It was almost as if he could see something in you, something deep inside your soul.
"And my name...is Y/N Hearts." You gave a little curtsy as you heard audible gasps around the hall. You looked at your father nervously. You were unable to tell if that look upon his face was one of grand delight or terrible disgust. You twiddled your fingers as he waltzed towards you.
"Y/N?" He spoke. You leaned down to meet his gaze. He placed his hands on your cheeks. "Y/N!" He exclaimed and embraced you. "I finally get to meet my youngest daughter!" He beamed and led you up to the two thrones, offering you a seat. The White Rabbit hopped away and the guards resumed their positions. Jane, Carlos and Harry followed behind you. "Is Rosie here too?"
Your happy face dropped. You thought he would've been told about the accident. She was his daughter after all, and he had spent her first two years of life with her. He deserved to find out.
"You didn't know?" You questioned.
"Didn't know what?"
You pursed your lips, unsure of how else you were supposed to break the news to him. "She died."
His eyes widened in realisation. He held a hand to his mouth. "When? How?"
"When she was twelve, I was ten. We were playing tag on the Isle and she was...let's say knocked around a little." You explained. "It didn't end well."
"Oh my...I guess you get a daughter, you lose a daughter." He took a moment to grieve before planting a smile upon his face and moving on. "You've got crown hair." He ruffled your hair.
"I usually wear a crown but that cat stole it."
"Of course he did..." he huffed and then called out for the Cheshire Cat.
"Good morrow, your majesty!" The cat appeared, wearing your crown.
"Whilst we all enjoy your antics, give the crown back." Your father told him.
"But...oh alright." He placed the crown back onto your head and left.
"Just like your mother," your father remarked, "speaking of which, how is she?"
"Last time I saw her she was doing good, seemed glad to be getting rid of me if I'm honest but I'm sure you know how she is."
"Sounds like she hasn't changed a bit." He gave a distant, fond smile. "And are these some friends of yours?"
"Well...kinda." You shrugged. "Carlos is an old friend from the Isle and I guess I could say Jane is a somewhat friend of mine." You looked at them for assurance of what you were saying. They both nodded. "And this is Harry," you held Harry's hand, "he's my boyfriend."
"Wow, you know, your mother and I never had any need for that. We went straight from not knowing each other to engaged to married all in one day."
"That's a bit fast for us." You chuckled.
