We got into the car and drove to new Orleans. It took us two hours to get there. Today we would bury  my aunt and cousin.

Hope hasn't been the same since. She's pretty much depressed.

"We're here. Are you ready?" Luca asked me.

"Yeah let's go." We walked out of the car and to the little tent set up next to the grave yard. This place was created after the massacre of 1926. It has a lot of bad memories for my family. We had decided to burn Jade's body.  It was done this morning.

With the help of Hope, Tessa walked onto the little podium to address us all and give a speech.

"Today we gather here with sorrowful spirits..."

*********

The ceremony had ended. Angela's body and Josie's body had been lowered in their graves. I remember when I as younger, Josie would always come over for sleepovers. I never had !any friends but her and Hope were always there for me.

"I'm here for you baby girl." Luca whispered in my ear as he rubbed my back.

"We should get going." I said. We began to walk away from the grave. I heard a loud scream from behind us. We immediately went there to see what was going on.

A man stood facing me. Ronnie stood in shock. Charles started growling. Hope looked confused.

"What are you doing here? How are you here?" Tessa asked.

"Ryan. You're so big now." He said. There was something familiar about him that I couldn't pinpoint.

"Who are you?" I asked. Luca stood next to me protectively.

"Lorenzo. Lorenzo Montgomery. I'm your father."

What the actual heck? My dad?

"Dad?"

"It's me baby girl. It's me." He said as he opened his arms wide and I ran right into them. I don't know why but I knew he wasn't the enemy.

"Lorenzo. What happened to you?" Tessa asked with worry.

"It is an awful story my dear. We should find somewhere more quiet." He said, "Wow you're so big." I chuckled.

We went to an old mansion near the bayou that we owned apparently. It was a large four story Victorian styled mansion with white and grey themed walls. The inside was spectacular. A mix of warm tones and peachy colours decorated it.

We were led past the foyer which had two stairway cases that led upstairs, to the dining room. The table was so long it could fit ten large families.

We all sat at one end of the dining table. The maids brought out cups of steaming tea and plates filled with different kinds of biscuits and different kinds of sweets and treats. Luca's eyes practically fell out of their socket when he was the cakes.

My boy will have no teeth when he's a thousand. What a shame.

"You've been gone for eighteen years. We tried every locator spell in the book. It was like you just vanished." Charles said.

"When Jade and I found out she was pregnant with you Ryan, I was ecstatic. Jade was too, for a moment. She realised once you were eighteen she'd be powerless and you'd have all the power.

Despite how power hungry she was, I believe the main reason she abandoned you was because she afraid to be a mother. I knew her plans to abandon you but before I could stop her, she stopped me." He explained.
