I always thought that when I met my mother she'd be sorry for leaving me. I thought she'd actually regret abandoning me. I've heard a lot about her these past couple of weeks. Something deep down inside of me thought that maybe despite everything, she'd be remorseful and actually want a second chance.
All the hope I had was crushed the moment I saw her. The look in her eyes was something I had never seen before. She had lost her soul.
"Wow you've really grown. You're a young lady now. Come give mama a hug." She said as she opened her arms.
"Where are my parents?" I asked not moving from my spot.
"Honey, I'm right here. Your dad is still asleep but I'm going to wake him up soon." She replied as she lowered her arms.
"No not you. My real parents, Ronnie and Jack. You're not my mother." I said. She's the one that has them, I know it.
"I deserve that. I should've been there for you but I wasn't so I deserve that. That's in the past now, you've had 18 years to forgive me." She smiled.
"If you don't tell me where my parents are, I will kill you." I growled. I mean I won't actually kill her, I think.
She laughed.
This woman just laughed in my face! My threat was pretty convincing. I'm very offended.
"Even if you wanted to which I see you do, you can't defeat me. I'm way too powerful." She said.
"Actually Jade you're not." Angela replied.
The smile on Jade's face immediately turned sour. She then covered it up by smiling again.
"What are you talking about Angie?" She asked in a sickly sweet voice as she walked up to Angela.
"You know exactly what I'm talking about. You're almost completely drained. I can smell it off of you. Very soon you'll be powerle-" Jade kicked her in the face. Angela spat the blood in her mouth on Jade's foot.
