Part I

We are at the Lycan's house. We've been here ever since I shifted. It's been a week since Kai and I merged. We've been getting along pretty well. She is no longer trying to fight me every step of the way.

I feel different. Something has changed. I mean obviously something has changed, I'm a full fledged hellhound now. I feel, stronger and better and much more powerful. Everyday I feel myself gaining more power. That must mean Jade is getting weaker.

Luca got out of the shower and dressed up in his combat gear. We've all been dressed like this just in case of anything. I've been sleeping in his room but we haven't marked or mated yet. I guess the moment wasn't right. He has also been getting stronger than normal because of our matebond. When me mark each other, my power will be transferred to him and we will become equal.

"You ready to head to the training ground?" He asked me. The black shirt fit snugly around him like a second skin. The bullet proof vest made him look way hotter. His cargo pants showed off the strong thighs and legs. Last but most definitely not least, that ass! Damn he has a great ass.

"The more you stare the more self conscious I feel brownie." He said.

"How can I not? You're so sexy!" I exclaimed as I jumped into his arms laughing.

"Damn having Kai around is making you more bold. I like this." He laughed as he carried me all the way to the training ground.

"Oh look, the love birds are here. Have they consummated their mateship?" Caroline said.

"I forbid it. Put her down she can walk on her own." Jack grumbled.

"Ay ay Captain." Luca chuckled as he put me down. I stood with Luca on my right and Caroline on my left. Jack continued mumbling about how I didn't need Luca and I needed to move back into the house. It was cute but I'm never moving back. Sorry Dad.

I heard a ticking sound  like that of a clock. I tried to listen closely to see where exactly this sound came from but it was everywhere. That's odd.

An odd smell wafted into the air. It smelled like petrol. The ticking kept going until I realised what it was.

"GET DOWN!" I screamed. Before anyone could get to the ground, a bomb exploded causing everyone and everything to fly in different directions.

I didn't feel as much pain as I expected to. Instead I felt sort of numb. For about a minute I heard nothing but ringing.

Kai immediately called out to me telling me to find Luca. I looked to my right and saw him get up. I noticed many of the people started to get up so I followed suit.

"How sweet! They were training." Sekani said. Surprise attack. That was to be expected. At least we are as ready as we can be.

"Bend the knee for Queen Elysia or die!" Lisette hissed. Kai didn't take lightly to being threatened or her family being threatened. A wave of power was released from us as we emitted a low threatening growl.

"So much power." Jade awed, "Stand down little girl and no one gets hurt."

"It's a little too late for that now isn't it.  This has gone for far too long Jade!" Charlie shouted.
