My heart skipped a beat. Did I just hear right? Sebastian too was affected by this information. The car went into the other lane and an incoming truck almost hit into us but Sebastian swerved the car off the road.

"Shit what happened are you guys okay?" Caroline's worried voice boomed through the phone.

"We're fine and we're on our way." Sebastian said as he grabbed his phone from my hand and cut the call. He stomped on the accelerator and drove like a freaking maniac all the way to Bella's house.

We got there in five minutes. We rushed into the house and found Dolores silently crying on the couch with Ryder and Jax comforting her.

"They're upstairs with Bella." Ryder said to us. Jax just nodded to acknowledge our presence. Sebastian stayed back with Mrs O'Connell.

I ran upstairs and caught the smell of blood. I walked into the room but there was no blood in sight. Jenna lay in the middle of her orange bed. Her entire body was covered in black snaky veins. Like she had been poisoned or something. She looked at peace however despite her ghastly appearance. She was dressed in a white sundress and her hair was in a French braid.

"Ryan?" Bella said when she saw me. She got off Blaire's laps and immediately ran to me and wrapped her arms around me. I lifted her up and hugged her.

"What happened?" I whispered.

"The book. That fucking forbidden book. It cursed her. I could've saved her." Blaire said angrily. I could tell she blamed herself for Jenna's death.

"What kind of cursed book is found in the fucking library? A school library! This is a load of bullshit!" Caroline shouted.

"Please don't shout Care." Bella whispered in my shoulder and this immediately silenced Caroline.

I walked closer to Jenna and stared at her soulless lifeless body. I set Arabella down on a chair.

"I'm scared." Bella whispered before little sobs racked her body. Blaire picked her up and began to calm her down. I noticed how Blaire always treated Bella like her own child.

"What the hell is going on in this pack?" I whispered. Everything here is weird and just doesn't add up.

"We have to figure how this happened on top of that damn prophecy!" Caroline exclaimed.

"I already found out what that prophecy is about." I told them.

"Without us? Oh wow when were you planning to tell us about this?" Caroline asked me.

"Calm down honey, we aren't exactly on speaking terms okay. What the hell did you want me to say?" I asked her.

We all sat in silence. This doesn't make any sense.

Mrs O'Connell came into the room and asked us all to leave because she needed some time. We all left the room. A few minutes later she came downstairs and told us we can go home.

"No way. We wanna stay." Blaire protested.

"No honey. Just...go home. Please." Mrs O'Connell's voice cracked. She practically just lost a child. I can't begin to imagine what she was going through.

We all bid her goodnight and left the house. We all stood outside the house about to get into our cars when Sebastian said,

"I told her."

We all looked at him waiting for him to explain what he was saying.

"I told Ryan about Sydney. Well my side of the story anyway." He clarified. Caroline's eyes widened. I looked down trying to avoid their stares.
