Tessa's POV

"Left Tessa left!" Charles yelled at me.

"I'm blind dammit! I don't know where left is." I said.

"You weren't always blind Tessa you know where your left is." He replied.

I reached out my left hand and finally felt the cucumbers on the rack. Shopping blind is not easy. Especially with a paralyzed hormonal man.

"Where are the cabbages?" I asked him as I placed the cucumbers in the basket.

"In the next aisle. C'mon." He said as I placed a hand on his wheelchair handle and followed as he wheeled himself to the next aisle.

It's been three years since the war and living with Charlie is definitely not easy but I love my brother and right now we need each other more than ever. Ronnie and Jack moved a few houses down the block from us. With a little bit of magic there were finally able to have a child of their own.

Lorenzo lives a next door. He finally moved on from Jade and now he has a girlfriend, Sally. Family dinners are weird. Very weird. I don't think Ryan likes her that much.

"Alright we're here. On your right, top shelf." He instructed. I reached up but I knocked them over. Before they could land on my head I was pulled away by some very muscular arms. This definitely isn't Charlie. He isn't this tall even if he could stand.

"Are you okay?" The stranger asked and I immediately felt it. My pulse was racing, the sparks on my skin, his heavenly scent.

"Mate." I said.

"Mate." He replied.

"What the hell? Are you on steroids or something?" Charles asked.

This is going to be very interesting.

Hope's POV

"Bye mama. I'll call you later. I love you bye." Ryan cut the call.

"Is it just me or ever since she had the Josie-Ang, she's been more clingy?" Ryan complained.

"Hormones buddy. Hormones." Caroline said.

"She's driving me crazy. She calls every five minutes." Ryan sighed.

We're currently in Madagascar. I like it here. Wish we could stay longer.

"I can't believe this is our 15th time this month buying new beddings and repairing the house like seriously Caroline." I said.

"Excuse you, my mate and I are allowed to have an active sex life." She replied.

"That's fine but stop burning the house everytime. Learn how to control the fire." Ryan said.

"You're one to say. You burnt the whole house in Kenya. The whole thing!" I said.

"That must've been one intense orgasm honey." Caroline laughed.

"Okay can we stop talking about sex?" Ryan asked as she blushed.

"Yeah please it's making me super depressed than usual. I'm the only one not getting any." I replied.

I don't mind but it would be nice to find my mate.

"Oh sweety stop. You're gonna find your mate. Don't worry he's right around the corner." The moment Caroline said that I smelt the scent of expensive cologne.

I turned around and was faced with a man in an Armani suit with a gold Rolex watch. He was practically covered in money.

He smelt like pine wood and apples. That is my new favourite scent.

He finally noticed my presence and I was faced with a bloody shade of red eyes. He has naturally red eyes?

"Mate." He said as he cocked his head to the side. My breath hitched in my throat at his sultry smooth voice.

"Mate." I whispered. He clenched his teeth making his jawline more prominent.

"How the hell did you do that!?" Ryan whispered to Caroline.

"I don't know, I don't know. When I said her mate is right around the corner I meant it metaphorically." She replied in a whisper.

Well damn, looks like I got myself a mate.
