Third person's POV

The entire room was still. The music had stopped playing and most people began to sober up. They all stared at the scene before them.

A Lycan in mid shift glaring at a she Wolf who apparently laid hands on his mate. The she Wolf on the floor stared at the Lycan in fear and awe. Lycans were extremely secretive creatures. Seeing one in its mid shift up close was definitely a rare sight to behold.

"What the hell are you talking about?" Caroline said in shock. Roman let out a deep growl that instilled fear in everyone.

Despite her disclosing to Ryan that she wanted a mate, it wasn't the entire truth. She never wanted to find her mate at least not right now. Maybe in the distant future. Finding her mate put a dent in her plans, a very large dent.

Caroline's hand loosened around Sydney's neck. Sydney stood in shock as she tried to process what was happening. She began to mumble the word 'no' repeatedly.

Sydney started walking back trying to escape but Caroline stopped her by holding onto her neck rather tightly making her choke.  This made Roman release another growl and start to charge towards Caroline.

Ryan's eyes widened when she realised what was going on. But before she could stop Roman from hurting Caroline, Luca already took action. He stood in front of Roman and snarled.

Roman looked past him and growled at Caroline angrily. Caroline's eyes widened in fear when she realised she was the target of Roman's rage. She immediately let go of Sydney in fear. This wasn't Roman, it was his Lycan and it was clearly not happy.

Astrid stood on a table before shouting to the crowd that had formed around them, "EVERYONE GET OUT OF THIS HOUSE BEFORE I MAKE YOU!"

Hearing her words and the authority they carried, everyone scrambled out of the room. They all feared the Lycan and did not want to get on her bad side. The music had stopped playing and everyone except Ryan, Luca, Sebastian, Roman, Sydney, Astrid and JC were left the room.

"This can't be happening. No no no no no..." Sydney mumbled repeatedly. Romans anger simmered down a bit to show his sadness. He looked devastated at hearing her words.

Everyone  looked at Sydney wondering what she would do next. Sydney looked around in fear and shock. She came to this town for a purpose. To get back on the good side of the people she is working with and finding a mate was not her priority.

She locked eyes with Roman and she winced when she noticed how pained he looked. He was hurt that his mate did not want him. The woman he has spent decades looking for did not want him. But Roman was not one to give up. He would do everything he could in his power to win her over.

She ran out of the room. Roman growled and tried to run after her but Luca stood in his way. Luca sent a warning growl to Roman telling him to calm down. Hearing that growl made Ryan shiver. She couldn't explain this sudden feeling she got when he growled. It was both arousing and she felt protected.

Roman only seemed to get more upset. He pushed Luca making him stumble but he quickly regained his balance and a fight almost broke out. JC held down Roman's left side whilst Luca held down the right. This made Roman struggle more trying to escape their hold. Sebastian looked terrified. Caroline looked fearful because she was afraid Roman would escape and come for her. Ryder took a protective stance in front of her.

Ryan looked intrigued by what was happening. Seeing the Lycans in action was a sight to behold. Especially seeing Luca so in charge of the situation. She was honestly turned on by the sight but she would never admit. Especially not in front of her crush Seb.
