A few weeks had passed, Lucifer had decided to move Rayna into the Penthouse, and the Heretic had decided to rent the Goddess her own apartment. The body she had been inhabiting; Charlotte Richards, had a husband and two kids, but the Goddess had no idea what to do with a mundane family, and so separated herself from them as much as physically possible, while remaining in the city.

The elevator doors opened just as Rayna had finished working on a piano piece.
"Hey Rayna, where's Lucifer? We have a case." The Detective greeted her.
"He is," Rayna began, using her Vampire hearing to check on the Devil. "Was in the shower. He's just getting out."
Just as her sentence finished, Lucifer, dressed in nothing but a towel wrapped loosely around his hips, appeared in the bedroom doorway.
"Detective. What can we do for you?" He smiled.
"We have a case and I could really use Rayna's... Unique expertise." Chloe explained.
"What's the case?" Rayna asked, getting up from the piano stool.
"It's better if I just show you..." Chloe sighed.

After Lucifer had gotten dressed, they got into Chloe's car and made their way to a stunning modern mansion in Beverly Hills.
Everything seemed perfectly normal, except for one thing. On the door, the words 'blood whore' had been painted.
Rayna could smell, even from the end of the rather long drive that it was written in blood.
She took a small glance at Lucifer as he did the same.
"Think I know why you needed me." Rayna nodded to Chloe.
"Well, Lucifer insists that you're a Vampire, so..." The Detective trailed off as she lifted the crime scene tape for the three to pass under.
In the house, there wasn't a single sign of struggle.
The young woman's body was laid out on the floor of the living room on the opposite side of the house, no blood except a small amount around the mouth-shaped wound on her neck.
"Whoever did this didn't have some blood kink." Rayna thought aloud.
"What makes you say that?" Chloe asked.
Rayna gestured to the front door.
"I'll bet you're thinking that, since the door wasn't busted in, the victim knew her killer." She started. Chloe nodded. "And there's no other sign of struggle between here and where the body is in the living room."
Rayna knelt down by the body.
"I think she was compelled to let the murderer in. But the question is; why did the killer choose her? He or she must've seen her somewhere and followed her home. Whoever did this is as calculated as they are psychotic and that makes them dangerous."
She got up and walked out of the mansion with Lucifer and Chloe in tow, back to the car.
"This isn't even the first case. There have been five more reports from here to San Francisco. Any ideas?" Chloe asked.
"Just one." Rayna replied, looking to Lucifer. "And it's going to involve Lux."

Back at Lucifer's penthouse, the three of them waited for two more to join them before going over the plan again.
The elevator pinged and the doors opened, revealing Maze and a Hispanic gentleman Rayna had not met previously.
"You guys wanted to see me? Who's this?" Detective Daniel Espinoza pointed to Rayna.
"This is Rayna Ives. She's helping with the case." Chloe explained.
"The Vamp chick that helped on the Warehouse case a few weeks back?" Dan clarified, earning a nod from Chloe.
"So this is detective Douche." Realisation hit Rayna as soon as she finished her sentence. "Oh God, I am so sorry..."
Dan glared at Lucifer, who was looking rather pleased with himself.
"Dan Espinoza." He replied with an awkward expression on his face as he shook her hand. "So what's this plan?"
"Your killer is a Vampire who clearly enjoys attention. My plan is to hold a Vamp night here at Lux tomorrow night. Between the Humans who love fictitious Vampires, to those who have a blood kink and actual Vampires, the killer won't be able to refuse." Rayna said.
Dan could barely contain his amusement.
"Seriously Chloe? What is it with your obsession with delusional British people?" He huffed. "Honestly, Devils and now Vampires?"
"Delusional or not, I think this plan could work." Chloe replied in defence.
"I'll be there throughout the event. I can point out and take note of the real Vampires in the room." The Heretic nodded to herself.
"I can't believe we're doing this crap again..." Dan sighed, running his hand over his smooth, chocolate brown hair.
Rayna grew increasingly irritated by the second.
"Lucifer, I'm thirsty." She sighed.
The Devil knew exactly what she was going on about, so lifted his sleeve and offered her his wrist.
To emphasise proof, Rayna used her Vamp speed to grab Lucifer's arm, lifting it to her mouth in a matter of milliseconds.
She unleashed her fangs, the dark veins under her eyes appearing at the same time and began to drink.
Only a few seconds later, she was done.
Rayna pulled her fangs from the tiny wounds in Lucifer's wrist, revealing the blood-soaked teeth to the Humans and Demon before her.
Maze simply looked impressed; perhaps a little turned on, whereas Chloe and Dan watched on in horror.
"Proof enough?" The Heretic asked, retracting her fangs and under-eye veins as she looked to Lucifer. "Honestly, if you'd just done your version of that for Chloe, this whole situation probably wouldn't be happening right now."
The Devil simply shrugged.
"You're a..." Dan stuttered.
Chloe was frozen in place, her lips parted in shock.
"Vampires exist, Detectives. And you've got a murderous one on the loose." Rayna told them. "I won't hurt you, clearly; otherwise I would've done it already. But there are plenty out there who would."
"So what do we do?" Maze perked up.
"We go along with the plan. Vampires smell different to Humans, I can lure the one who killed our vic, plus any others who show their face, up here and find out which one is our killer. Then I'll deal with him or her accordingly."
"So... Vampires exist and we're doing this..." Chloe attempted to get her head around all the new information.
"Do you two need help processing? Because I can do that." Rayna offered.
"Compulsion?" The female Detective clarified.
"It's a Vampire thing." Rayna chuckled, shrugging.
"It all makes so much sense now..."
"Does it? Because I'm freaking out." Dan replied. "Please... Use that thing on me."
Rayna nodded, moving towards him. She placed a hand on his shoulder and looked into his eyes.
"Calm down, Dan. Everything's going to be okay." She said.
He took a deep breath and nodded.
"Yeah..."
Rayna looked to Chloe, who simply shook her head.
"I'm fine." She told her. "Though I do need a drink..."
"There's my que." Lucifer held up a finger, then jogged over to the bar, pouring Chloe a whiskey. She took it from him as soon as he was within arm's reach, downing it in one. "Wait until you find out the rest." He chuckled.
"There's more?!" Chloe coughed out, the sting from the whiskey hitting the back of her throat.
"I think we'll wait a while before I introduce you to the world of magic." Rayna huffed.
"Magic exists too?" Chloe looked as though her brain was about to explode.
"Well how do you think Vampires came to exist?" Rayna replied, as though it were obvious.
Chloe just shrugged. "What sort of magic? The hippy Wiccan stuff or Merlin and Gandalf?"
"Okay, I guess we're doing this..." Rayna sighed. "Sort of both. A Witch's magic comes from the Earth and nature, for example, I can control the weather, make fire, manipulate water, make plants grow among many other things." She then beckoned to Chloe's empty glass. "Want a refill?"
Chloe nodded.
Rayna smirked; raising her hand towards the bottle of Whiskey Lucifer had left on the bar. She whispered a spell under her breath and everyone watched on as the bottle flew straight into her hand.
"That's cool." Dan nodded his approval, the compulsion clearly still in full effect.
Rayna poured the whiskey and the Detective took a sip.
"Somehow I thought it'd taste different." She frowned.
Maze scoffed, walked over to Rayna and snatched the bottle from her.
"Can we stop with the magic show now? We have a party to organise." She huffed.
"Ah yes. I almost forgot." Rayna agreed. "I'll show you both some other stuff at a later date."

A few hours later, everyone had everything prepared and Maze was in the club's office downstairs, broadcasting the info for the event all over social media and the Lux website.
It was only Lucifer and Rayna once again.
"I'm glad you agreed to stay here instead of the Roosevelt." Lucifer spoke up.
"Me too." Rayna smiled, sitting down next to him on the bed. "But something's been bothering me."
Lucifer watched as she curled into him, looking down at her with a frown.
"What is it, my dear?"
Rayna lifted her head, looking at him properly.
"What are we?" She asked.
"What do you want us to be?"
"Everything..."
"Then that is what we'll be." Lucifer smiled, leaning down to kiss her hair softly.
"But it's been four hundred years, Luci... We're different people now." Rayna sighed.
"Believe me, love. You haven't changed that much." Lucifer chuckled.
"But you have. I was... I was talking to Chloe. She was telling me about your... Habits." The Heretic hesitated, choosing her words carefully.
"My habits?" Lucifer raised an eyebrow.
"Your sexual prowess." Rayna scowled.
Lucifer looked a little hurt, unwrapping his arm from Rayna's waist.
"You think I won't be faithful." He more stated than asked.
Rayna sat up, turning her laying position to a kneel in front of him.
"I'm not saying that. I'm saying that eternity is a long time to be with only one person."
"I thought that when we first spoke about 'us', that I made it pretty clear that I love you, Rayna. And whether either of us has changed or not, we have eternity to figure each other out. But if you don't think I can keep it in my pants for that long, fine. We won't be anything." Lucifer grew cold. "Perhaps you should stay elsewhere tonight."
Rayna was shocked, to say the least.
"Luci... I didn't mean that..."
"Just go." He said.
Rayna sighed, attempting to keep her emotions at bay.
"Okay..."

"Rayna, what are you doing here? It's three in the morning." A tired Chloe answered her door.
"I know... I'm sorry Chloe, I just didn't know where else to go. Lucifer and I had a little spat..." Rayna sighed, tears welling at her waterline.
"Come in." Chloe said with a sympathetic look on her face. "I'll get the wine, you tell me what happened."
Rayna sat on the couch as Chloe poured two huge glasses of red wine, handing one to the Heretic.
"Before, when we first knew each other, Lucifer and I fell in love. The first time we... Y'know, he upped and left straight afterwards and the other week was the first time I'd seen him since then." Rayna explained.
"That explains the hostility you had for him." Chloe nodded, sipping her wine.
"Well it turns out that his brother dragged him back home, not giving him a chance to explain everything to me, so a few weeks ago, I forgave him and we've been great ever since, but earlier, we were trying to figure out where we stood with each other, we spoke about how we had both changed and led far different lives now and I may have called him out on his sexual habits and he thought I meant that he would cheat on me and he lost it." Rayna sighed, gazing down at the dark red liquid in her glass.
"Can I offer my advice?" Chloe asked, taking the Heretic's hand. Rayna nodded. "It sounds like it's just one of those things that happen between two people who feel strongly for each other. Arguments happen, they just do. Give him some time to get his head straight and I'm sure that, if it really is love, he'll come running back to you and all will be right back where it should be. These past weeks have been a shock even to me. I've never seen him act the way he does when he's with you. You've thrown yourselves into the deep end, basically acting like nothing had happened that first time, but you both need to embrace it – accept that it happened and learn from it."
Rayna sighed deeply, looking down into her glass once again.
"I feel silly even being here. I've had more than enough life experience; I've had more than enough heartache. Yet, here I am, sat getting a life lesson from someone a fraction of my age." Rayna chuckled humourlessly.
"How old are you, by the way? If you don't mind my asking." Chloe frowned.
"Nine hundred and fifty six." Rayna smirked.
"Oh wow." Chloe laughed, earning a fake-hurt look from her company. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to offend you. I've just never spoken to someone who's lived through all the stuff I learned in history class."
"It's fine. You're not the first Human to know my secret." Rayna winked, nudging Chloe's shoulder playfully with her own.
"You're pretty incredible, Rayna. You know that?"
"Well, yeah." The Heretic chuckled. "And you're not so bad, yourself – for a Human."
"Thanks." Chloe cracked up. "But you know who else knows how great you are? Lucifer. Give it a couple of days and he'll realise how stupid that little outburst was."
"Thanks Chloe." Rayna smiled, leaning in to give the Detective a genuine hug.
