Days later, the group were back in LA.
"Thanks for the radio silence this past week. What the Hell is going on?" Chloe asked frantically as she walked into the Penthouse.
"It's done." Rayna simply said. "I wish them luck dragging themselves back from the other side this time round."
"You killed them..." Chloe sighed.
The Heretic's blood boiled in an instant. She turned around almost violently and Vamp sped to the Detective, getting as up in her face as possible.
"I gave them the choice to walk away – to start anew in some unknown corner of the world. But no, they had to go and ruin that. I had no choice but to kill them. It was them or the population of the nearest city and then the rest of the bloody world." She growled.
Chloe gasped at the sudden outburst, backing away until the middle of her back hit the bar.
"Rayna." Amenadiel spoke softly from behind her, placing his hands on her upper arms to carefully drag her away from the Detective.
"Sorry." Rayna mumbled. "I'm hungry."
"Already on it." Maze spoke up from behind the bar, grabbing a couple of blood bags from the fridge to throw at the Angel.
"Here." Amenadiel mumbled, handing her one.
Rayna sighed, closing her eyes to take a few deep breaths before she took the blood bag and tore it open at the top.
As she drank, Lucifer made his way over to the bedroom, placing their bags on the bed.

Two months later, Rayna was set to burst.
She looked over her showered naked body in the full length mirror in the bathroom, standing sideways to it so that she could get a full look of her huge bump.
Nine months pregnant, she couldn't help but think to herself that she didn't think she'd make it this far without giving birth or losing the baby.
But she smiled to herself, pushing those thoughts out of her mind as her baby stirred inside of her.
She was pulled out of her head by a soft knock on the door.
"It's only me, darling." Lucifer's voice came.
"Come in." She replied.
The door opened and Lucifer looked over his glowing love.
"I didn't think I'd ever find such beauty in pregnancy, but here we are, I suppose." He chuckled softly, leaning against the door frame.
"I didn't think I'd ever get to see this day. Having something growing so innocent and pure growing inside of me was something of a lost cause until nine months ago." Rayna smiled.
Lucifer moved towards her, opening his arms to embrace her, placing a gentle kiss on her wet hair.
"How about we go for a walk down the beach today? Just you and me." He suggested.
The Heretic's smile grew.
"That sounds wonderful." She said.

As the pair walked, Rayna took a deep sigh.
"Penny for your thoughts, darling?" Lucifer gave a small smile.
"Not to sound like a complete morbid freak," She began, taking another sigh. "But I kind of miss the action. Don't get me wrong, these past couple of months have been great, just being able to relax. However I can't help feeling, in times like these, that I have no purpose. My body was born and made with magic and supernatural enhancements that feel rather redundant when there isn't a threat."
Lucifer looked out to the ocean, thinking for the right thing to reply with.
"I understand that. When it was just the Detective and I, it wasn't so bad. We'd have a case and, when we didn't, I'd run Lux and have a great time enjoying everything Humanity had to offer. But since you've been back, the excitement and the adrenaline have been rather addictive." He finally said. "I'm sure it's pretty safe to say that your new purpose is growing our daughter inside you. And then, when she's out and ready to face the world, there would be no one better suited to deal with whatever life throws at her than you."
"I never thought I'd see the day where I have a child in my arms that's biologically mine." Rayna chuckled.
"I can't say I did either. For you or for me." Lucifer grinned. "And I also never thought I'd see the day where I'm over the moon and gritting my teeth with anticipation to meet my offspring."
Rayna looked up to her love with a big smile on her face, but her eyes were full of child-like playfulness.
"Me neither." She said. "Lucifer Morningstar – the father. Who would've guessed it?"
"Not me, that's for bloody sure." The Devil laughed. "My father has more than a little explaining to do."
"Perhaps he thought this would be the making of you." The Heretic suggested. "You were clearly bored with your old purpose, so he gave you a new one."
"That would imply that my father gives a shit about me – an idea that I'm still yet to be sold on." Lucifer arched a brow.
"You know, I've never been a fan of your father." Rayna sighed, soon exchanging one expression for a smirk. "But I think he's onto something here."
Lucifer smiled, wrapping his arm over Rayna's shoulder as they continued to walk.
"Me too." He said.
