A/N: The dress in the picture above is Rayna's for the evening :)
As the LA night life was getting into full swing, Rayna changed from her regular day clothes to a flowing, corseted, fit and flare black ball gown. Her makeup was dark and smokey, with a deep red lip to match – her hair curled and pinned to one side, allowing it to flow over her right shoulder.
"You look like a princess!" Chloe's eight year old daughter; Trixie jumped with glee at the sight of the Heretic.
"Holy..." Chloe cut herself off.
The detective wore a fifties style dress – an ankle length off-the-shoulder piece decorated with black lace with a lilac undertone, complimenting her skin beautifully.
"Wow, Chlo. You look stunning." Rayna gasped.
"Are all Vampires inherently gorgeous or is it just you?" Chloe winked.
Rayna all but blushed. "I suppose you'll find out tonight."
Maze came out in her usual sexy ninja-esque get up, sporting leather pants and latex crop top with thigh high boots.
"Now that we're all lookin' sexy as Hell," The Demon smirked, twirling one of her blades on her index finger before catching it and slipping it into its sheath attached to her thigh. "Shall we?"
She beckoned towards the door.
"Hold on." Rayna paused, reaching inside her overnight bag to grab two tiny vials. "Chloe, drink this."
"What is it?" The Detective asked.
"Water, mixed with a herb called Vervain. It's like a Vampire's Kryptonite. "It burns to the touch, a bitch when drank, whether it be directly or in a Human's blood stream, and prevents compulsion."
"Oh wow. Okay." She shrugged, downing the bottle in one.
"Just in case." Rayna told her. "Give the other to Dan when you see him."At Lux, Lucifer watched his guests from the balcony as he nursed a Scotch when the girls got there, while Dan was in the club's office, watching security and keeping an eye on everything.
"Earpiece on and working?" Chloe asked Rayna, slipping her own into her right ear.
"Yep. All good." Rayna nodded.
They entered the club and the Heretic managed to slip passed the Devil and downstairs to the club itself, all eyes on the two girls.
"Drink?" Rayna asked Chloe.
"I'll just have a water. I don't drink when I'm working." She replied.
"Gotcha."
Rayna walked up to the bar just as Maze took her place behind it.
"Water for the Human, I suppose." She raised her eyebrow.
"Of course." Rayna chuckled, turning around to lean on the bar and observe the crowd. "And an iced tea for me, please. Though do me a favour and put it in a whiskey glass. I have appearances to uphold."
Maze looked at her oddly, but complied. "Coming right up."
Rayna grabbed the drinks and went to the booth, where Chloe sat patiently.
"So are any of your Spidey senses tingling yet?" She asked, taking a gulp of her water.
"Not yet, but it's still early. The sun's not long gone down." Rayna sat back on the bench.
"How is it you can walk in the sun?" Chloe wondered aloud.
Rayna smirked, holding up her left hand to gesture to the ring on her index finger.
"See this ring? The stone in it is called Lapis Lazuli. When spelled, it protects me from the sun. Only a small handful of Vampires have them. Myself, my sire and his siblings, a couple of my friends and a few others." Rayna explained.
"Wow, it's beautiful." Chloe admired the jewellery.
"It'd better be, I've been wearing it for almost a thousand years." Rayna laughed.
Lucifer soon spotted the pair and made his way over.
"Detective, you look positively divine - believe me, I should know." The Devil smirked before turning to the Heretic. "See anyone yet?"
"Not yet." Rayna replied simply, not making eye contact as she took a sip from her iced tea.
Just then, a scent peaked her attention – one that was not Human or Divinity.
"Hold up." She held up her hand slightly. She looked up at the balcony, where Lucifer had been stood previously, and there stood an all too familiar face. "Stay here." She growled, getting up from her seat.
Lucifer and Chloe watched curiously as she went upstairs to confront the new-comer.
"Didn't think I'd ever see that face again." Rayna said, standing a few feet behind the tall, male Vampire.
"Rayna Ives." Andrew MacKenzie smiled menacingly then turned to face the Heretic. "You look as radiant as ever, my Lady." He bowed deeply.
"I could've sworn I banished you from the Americas three centuries ago." Rayna frained thought.
"Old habits an' all that." His Scottish Highlander accent came in thick. "Ye ken I wasn't any good at following orders."
"And that is exactly what got you turned into a Vampire in the first place." Rayna replied. "Or have you forgotten Culloden?"
"How could I forget the night you helped turned me?" He smirked.
"Why are you murdering the locals, Andrew?"
"However could ye think it were me?" The young Vampire placed a hand on his chest.
"You always were a show off. Drink?" Rayna gestured down to the bar.
"How could I refuse ye when ye lookin' like that?" He motioned to her dress.
Rayna breathed a humourless chuckle before leading the way down to the bar.
"Maze." She grabbed the attention of the Demon, signalling two drinks were needed.
"Ye own this place?" Andrew asked.
"No, but I know the guy that does." As she said those words, she felt Lucifer's oncoming presence. "Speak of the Devil..." She sighed.
"Are you gunna introduce us?" Lucifer gave an inviting grin.
"I suppose... Lucifer Morningstar, might I introduce you to one of the more notorious of my sireline; Andrew MacKenzie." Rayna sighed, boredom dripping from her voice.
She looked across the room, spying Dan and Chloe making their way to the elevator.
"Pleasure." Andrew smiled, taking the hand Lucifer had held out.
"Likewise, mate. Don't suppose you're a fan of a beautifully aged Scotch, are you?" Lucifer asked.
"You insult me by even asking, Mister Morningstar." Andrew smiled, smoothing a section of his bright orange, curly locks.
