chapter 9

one week passed.

it's 10 pm when jimin is in taehyung's house, on the couch, watching a movie with taehyung in his arms who fell asleep 1 hour ago.

taehyung's head is on jimin's chest and his arms are wrapped around his stomach, while jimins hand is on taehyung's back.

earlier, taehyung told jimin everything that happened at the party. and of
course that he slept in the same bed with jeongguk.

jeongguk right now has to go away from home again, that's why he called namjoon and asked him if he could stay at their house.

namjoon noticed that something is wrong with jeongguk but he decided not to ask him over the phone.

namjoon told jeongguk that he isn't at home right now, but taehyung and jimin are so he can go there and wait until namjoon is back.

so jimin frowns when the door rings but he softly and slowly removes taehyung's arms. taehyung makes some complaining sounds and tries to snuggle closer to jimin again.

"i have to open the door baby, i'll be right back."

he stands up and opens the door, surprised when he sees jeongguk.

"hi. namjoon is not here."

"i know. he told me that i can wait here for him."

"oh okay.", jimin says, lets him in and goes back to taehyung immediately.

they quickly get to their position from
earlier.

jeongguk also goes to the livingroom, sitting down on the other couch.

"thank you for helping taehyung that day.", jimin says to jungkook.

"it's no big deal."

jimin doesn't say anything to that and just softly removes a strand from taehyung's face.

"he is too beautiful for his own good.", jimin says and jeongguk doesn't say anything and just watches taehyung silently, who sleeps peacefully on jimin's body.

"are you guys a thing?", jeongguk asks after holding the question in for a few minutes.

"what, we? oh, no no no. we could never be.", jimin laughs.

"but you're so... um... close? i mean me and my best friends wouldn't do something like this.", he mumbles, pointing at the situation jimin and taehyung are in right now.

"we're something different.", he laughs.

"who ish different?", taehyung suddenly asks cutely, followed by some cute smacking sounds.

"we.", jimin replies.

"i missh jeonggukie.", he says and jimin could slap his best friend right there.

"tae, jeongguk is here right now. he can hear you."

"what?", taehyung mumbles into jimin's chest, still tired.

"he's here."

and that brings taehyung finally back to reality.

he opens his eyes and sits up just to look directly into jeongguk's eyes.

he feels so embarrassed, that's why he blushes immediately.

"i-i-i'm s-sorry, I-"

"it's ok, don't worry.", jeongguk says and taehyung just nods, but he feels still so embarrassed. he just said that he missed him, jeongguk must think that he's a little creep now.

"h-haven't seen you for one week.", taehyung says. "y-yeah, i got some things to do." something in his eyes makes taehyung think that he isn't telling the truth. maybe he just didn't want to see him.

taehyung is really good at making himself even sadder than he already is.

"i wanna sleep.", taehyung says and clings to jimin again. "but baby you won't be able to sleep tonight."

"i don't care. had nightmares the whole week.", he says as his eyes are closed and his arms wrapped around jimin's stomach again.

jimin looks sadly at him at his words.

"why? why did you have nightmares?", jimin decides to ask.

"dunno. but i don't wanna sleep alone anymore.", he says. "i want someone to protect me."

jimin softens at that and jeongguk would lie if he said he doesn't.

"protect you from what baby?"

"monsters... and jackson. but jeonggukie protects me from jacksom so you have to protect me from monsters."

jimin smiles at that. "i will.", he says before looking at jeongguk who nods at him. "we will protect you.", jimin says and it doesn't take taehyung long to fall asleep again, feeling save and loved.

the next thing they hear is the opening of the front door, but it's not only namjoon who comes in. next to him are yoongi and hoseok.

they go to the livingroom, greeting everyone before sitting down.

namjoon and hoseok sit down on the couch where jeongguk is sitting and yoongi sits down next to jimin.

"hi.", he says, making jimin blush. "h-hi."

"when he did he fall asleep?", namjoon asks jimin. "like an hour ago. i don't want to wake him up because he said that he didn't sleep well the whole week."

"nightmares?", namjoon asks and jimin nods. "hm yeah, i heard him screaming a couple times and had to calm him."

"s-screaming?", jimin asks, worried about his best friends.

jeongguk frowns.

"oh.", jeongguk just says, drowning up by his thoughts quickly.
