"pup, you know that they're talking bullshit right?", jeongguk asks as they're standing in the hallway, before they both have to go to different classes.

taehyung just nods, but looks down, feeling insecure and sad.

"hey, listen to me.", jeongguk says and gently cups his face, making him look directly into his eyes.

"you're none of what they're saying okay? you're wonderful, just ignore these idiots."

taehyung nods with a very little smile on his face.

"i'm serious.", jeongguk says and taehyung again just nods, smiling properly now. jeongguk leans in to peck his lips.

when class is over taehyung walks out of the classroom and feels a little stressed because the teacher just told him that their next maths exam will be in two weeks.

"i need to ask jeongguk for help.", he mumbles to himself as he's walking to the cafeteria where his friends are already waiting.

jeongguk points to the empty spot right next to him and taehyung sits down with a smile.

"did anyone say something?", jeongguk asks him quietly so the others wouldn't hear.

"no, don't worry.", he smiles at him.

"tae!", someone calls and taehyung turns around to see that bogum is calling him.

"bogum hyung!", he says and stands up to hug him quickly.

"how are you guys?", he asks and jeongguk looks at him with dark eyes.

"we're good, what about you?", taehyung says, still standing right in front of him.

"me too. since you were busy last time, i wanted to ask you if we could go that little cafe together after school."

"today?"

"yes."

"um.. yeah, sure.", he answers with a smile and jeongguk didn't even notice that he just clenched his fist.

"okay, see you later then!"

"bye!"

taehyung sits down again, looking confused since everyone is staring at him weird.

"what?"

"did you just agree to go with him?", yoongi asks.

"um.. yes?"

"why?"

"because he's my friend."

everyone facepalms.

"you stupid little thing.", hoseok comments.

"what is the problem?"

"tae, i'm 100% it's a date for him."

"okay stop.", jeongguk says. "i won't let you go on a date with him."

"b-but none of us said it was a date."

"tae, you have to make clear from the beginning that it's not a date. just tell him that when you see him later."

"okay, so.. if i make that clear, it's ok for me to go with him, right?", taehyung asks looking at everyone but especially at jeongguk.

"sure.", jeongguk says but he absolutely hates the thought of taehyung going out with someone that probably wants more than just be his friend.

he trusts taehyung and knows he wouldn't do anything with him, but he doesn't trust that bogum guy.
