chapter 21

(i forgot to mention in the last chapter that jin had to go home early)

"yoongi and your brother are
downstairs. should we join them?"

"you can go if you want chim, wanna stay here.", he says, still feeling down and he's sure he's gonna feel down for a long time.

"tae, you can't stay here all day and be sad. let's go downstairs and eat something you like, hm?"

"m'kay.", he gives in and slowly stands up.

"tae? where is jeongguk?", namjoon asks confused.

"he had to go home but i don't know why."

"oh, okay. i should call him later.", he says and taehyung nods.

"are you okay taehyung?", namjoon says and looks up to taehyung now. "wait- were you crying?"

"no.", taehyung nervously smiles. "i'm fine hyung."

namjoon frowns because he doesn't believe him. but he thinks that right now isn't the best time to talk about that.

taehyung doesn't want to tell namjoon what happened. namjoon believed that jeongguk would never hurt taehyung and now taehyung is clearly hurt because of jeongguk and he just doesn't want namjoon to think bad of him.

"wanna watch movies, eat ice cream and cuddle?", jimin asks taehyung and he nods with a sad pout.

taehyung notices that namjoon is on the phone with someone and for a second he thought it's jeongguk, but it's not.

"is it okay if yoongi and i go visit some friends?", namjoon asks them and they just nod. "of course hyung. go have fun."

"okay. it can be late for us to come back so behave and don't do shit.", he says sternly and again they just nod.

"we would never." of course that's a lie but today they're really not in the mood for doing something they shouldn't do.

taehyung and jimin go to the livingroom and a few minutes after that namjoon and yoongi leave the house.

"chim, can you bring me ice cream?", he asks sadly and jimin immediately stands up and makes his way to the kitchen, taking strawberry ice cream out of the freezer and takes a little spoon.

he goes back and gives it to taehyung who takes it and thanks him with little smile.

"you're the best friend in the world chim."

jimin just smiles at that. he'd literally do anything for taehyung, he loves him that much. so giving him ice cream when he's sad is nothing.

they chose a movie surprisingly fast and are watching it now while taehyung is eating ice cream and asked jimin three times if he's sure he doesn't want some.

now he just finished his ice cream and quickly cuddles up to jimin. "i love you chim."

"i love you too tae.", he says as he starts rubbing his back softly. usually taehyung would fall asleep, but now he can't. he can't even focus on the movie and even when almost 2 hours passed and the movie is over, he just couldn't fall asleep.

taehyung sighs heavily and of course jimin worries about him.

"tae, what can i do to cheer you up?"

"i'm really okay chim, you don't have to worry."

"no you're not.", he says and taehyung doesn't answer anymore.

"let's get some starbucks.", he suddenly says.

"i'm really not in the mood for leaving the house right now.", he says but jimin doesn't give up.

"c'mon. you can have the aux.", he says but taehyung still doesn't look impressed but jimin exactly knows that it'll cheer him up.

"c'mon tae.", he says and even starts to pull on his arms so that he stands up.

"ugh, fine.", he gives in and finally stands up.

they just grab their jackets and their phones, put on their shoes before they leave the house. since they're in the car no one will see them anyway.

(imagine it's dark outside)

they just got their starbucks and are about to drive away again.

yes taehyung played his favorite songs and it made him feel a bit better so jimin was really proud of himself that he's the reason taehyung at least smiled again.

they want to drive home, when taehyung suddenly notices someone and can't believe his eyes. it's jeongguk.

he's walking fast as he's wearing his hood. "chim, it's jeongguk!", taehyung says and jimin looks at him.

"what is he doing?"

"i don't know, let's just drive home.", he says but jimin has to stop right next to jeongguk while he's walking and they're in the car.

"jeongguk!", jimin calls him but both jimin and taehyung gasp loudly when they see his face. he's bleeding again.

"jeongguk!", taehyung worriedly says. "jeongguk, get in the car!"

"no, i'm fine.", he says but his nose is bleeding, so are his lips and his eye is bruised again.

"no, just fucking get in.", taehyung says.

"just drive home, i'm alright.", he says and starts walking fast again but jimin also starts driving, being in the same tempo as jeongguk.

"jeongguk, get in."

"just go."

"it's okay if you don't want to see me, but please let me just help you.", taehyung says and jeongguk stops walking. he looks to the ground, feeling sad all of sudden. he thinks i don't want to see him?

he knows that it's clearly his fault that taehyung thinks like that but still it kinda hurts him.

"jeongguk, don't be a dick, just get in.", jimin says, not liking how desperate taehyung sounded.

he sighs before he gets in the car.
