Finding Carter

Chapter 17

As I called Matt back the tears already started to come down my face. Matt answered..

"Hey Lia.." Matt said sounded a little worried.

"So... is Carter okay?" I asked anxious to know.

"Well.. uhhh he sorta has some memory loss." Matt said sorta quickly but, I still understood.

"What...." I said and tears came down my face faster.

"We asked him what he knew. He doesn't remember what happened to his mom or you.." Matt said into the phone to make sure I knew.

How could he not remember me.. I can see why because we just met. But, we have spent a lot of time together. How.?

After our phone call I got a text from Gilinsky saying that they may have to do something because of Carter's memory.

The plan sounded crazy, but it also sounded good. As I was thinking about all this, I thought about Carter and I's relationship. I guess it isn't going to work since he doesn't remember me.

3 WEEKS LATER

So it's been 3 weeks since Carter got out of the hospital. Me and the boys still talk, but I don't talk to Carter. Carter doesn't even know me. So I'm basically a stranger. Our plan was to see and wait until he remembers me. So I will wait until he does.

Also no one has really told him about his mom. They try to but he always thinks they are playing. They are waiting on that also. 

Since they are going on tour, I won't be seeing any of them much anymore. 

Hopefully we can stay in touch?

Carter's P.O.V

Everyone has been talking about this girl named Lia. I don't know who she is or what she did to be involved with us so I just stayed out of their business. 

We've been on tour for a day now and everything is going fine besides the fact that everyone is telling me that my mom isn't here anymore. 

Sometimes I just want to beat myself up because I don't know the truth anymore. I really do think she is still here, but she never answers my calls or texts.

I decided to go on a walk in the chilly weather. 

As I was walking I accidently bumped into someone. I looked up to see this beautiful tall girl.

"I'm so sorry!" she said

"No, no it's my fault I wasn't looking.." I said looking into her eyes,

"Maybe wanna get some coffee?' I asked her trying to continue our conversation.

"Sure" she said smiling.

So we started walking to the nearest Starbucks. 

As we walked in I saw this girl look at me then just run out crying. Did I do something? 

After we got out coffee and sat down we started to get to know each other. I learned her name is Annabelle. We traded numbers and hoped to see each other again.

After that, I started to walk back to the hotel we were at.

Lia's P.O.V   

I decided to get out because I haven't for a few days. I went to the mall and go somewhere afterwards.

I caught up with some friends and shopped.

Afterwards, I went to Starbucks. As I walked in and ordered I waited. I got my drink and was about to sit down, until I saw him. I felt my eyes start to water. I ran out as quickly as I could and got into my car.

I just saw Carter after about 4 weeks. He looked a little scared when he looked at me. I can't mess with his life. 

But, I saw him with another girl..

He doesn't remember yet, does he?
