*Mark's P.O.V.*

Inside the car, I pulled out my phone to check social media for a few seconds as the car started to warm up. Dinner with mom and (Y/N) went so much more smoothly than I expected since mom doesn't like me bringing random people into her house. It looked like they got along very well and mom looked like she enjoyed herself and would like for the (H/C) to return. It's a big relief, seeing how mom didn't scold me about anything. It would be nice to do something like this again.

"Mark~," (Y/N) called my name sweetly, and I realized that the car has been warming up for a good amount of time now. I hummed in response to her call. "I just have one question." (Y/N) flashed her phone towards me, and it took me some time to adjust to the brightness of the screen.

"Who is she?" The girl smiled. I looked at the picture again, and it was that picture of Sooyoung and me at the company's party. Nothing changed about the picture, it was still me with that big goofy smile, and Sooyoung with her beautiful, stunning eyes and her mind-blowing aurora. I didn't realize how long I was staring at my assistant until (Y/N) called me again. "Who is she, Mark?"

"She's no one. Just a friend," I replied. I mean, look at my situation: I'm with my fuck buddy, and she's over here, asking about the girl I have genuine feelings for. (Y/N)'s facial expression stayed the same, a smile, which didn't bother me too much until she started to ask questions again.

"When was this? Today? Where?" The petit woman continued to smile with a relaxed tone, but it felt like she was scolding me. She looked at the phone before showing it to me again. I looked away and focused on getting out of the driveway, but that didn't stop her from asking the questions. She started to sound defensive, and I didn't know why. "Huh? Where was this? How much did you guys drink? Was there anyone else?" She gritted through her teeth.

"What's up with all these questions, (Y/N)? I said she was a nobody, isn't that enough?" I said, getting irritated with the questions. I thought it was made obvious between the both of us that our relationship stops at sex. Why is she so concerned about the other part of my love life? It just simply doesn't make any sense.

"No, frankly. It isn't enough. What if she's dangerous? What if she wants to kidnap you or something? You never know." I sighed, realizing that she won't stop until I tell her something better with more value. I pulled over to the side of the road slowly and put on the hazard lights on. There's only one way to end her talking rampage, so...

"If you really want to know," I turned to face her and crept my hands towards her neck. Her head shot back and her (E/C) closed. "She's just my work assistant, that's all. Relax. She's not going to take your place." I practically lied, leaning closer to her face to kiss her cheek. "Mkay?" She hummed with her eyes still closed as I placed soft kisses across her jawline, to her ear, where I started to nibble on her lobe. Although I was only doing this to shut her up, my body started to get hot, and my actions became more aggressive.

Passionately, I turned her head to face mine and didn't waste any time to connect our lips. As per usual, her plump pink lips were so tasty, I could kiss them forever. The hand that was on her neck fell towards the buttons on her black shirt, quickly undoing the buttons. Her hands came up and wrapped around my neck, pulling me closer to deepen the kiss and to run his fingers through my brown locks,

"And would you look at that, I'm horny," I smirked into the kiss and she only giggled. Nevertheless, it took us a while to get back on the road.

Business at the office was running as smoothly and hectic as usual. Everyone was doing their job at the fast pace that we all grew accustomed to, while the bosses and a few others were in a day-long meeting. I was at my desk, rearranging files while I made some phone calls to verify any plans made for the future. It was sort of a cleaning day for me because I tend to leave my workspace in a big mess when I'm in a rush, and that party that we had didn't do me justice. Ms. Kim should be coming in a few minutes, so my office won't be as boring and quiet as it is.

"Yes, and it going to be twenty of us, not ten. He said he felt more people need to be in this part, but I honestly don't know." The woman on the other side of the phone laughed while her typing could be heard.

"So, it changed from Tuesday to Wednesday, from 1 PM to 3 PM, and from ten people to twenty. That's a lot of changes." She sighed and continued typing. At that moment, my beautiful assistant walked through the glass doors, and since she saw me on the phone, she waved before putting her stuff away.

"That's what I told him," I laughed. "But you know how Sean is. Anyways, thank you so much for your help one last time. I'll talk to you later. Bye." I sighed and finished organizing a pile of papers. With another pile in my hands, I turned around to go throw it in the recycling, but Sooyoung stopped me in my tracks without even saying a word. She just stood there elegantly in her white turtleneck and black pants. Although her outfit was so simple, she looked so intriguingly complex and different. I couldn't stop looking at her, and I could feel my face turn red. Is this what love is?

"Need help with that?" The tall, slender woman pointed to the pile of papers in my hand, waking me from my daydream. Flustered, I nodded and passed off the papers to her. Without even communicating anything to her, Sooyoung headed towards the recycling bin and tossed the papers away.

"Thank you," I said while also having a mid-life crisis because I didn't know if it was appropriate to say that she looks good today. Should I wait it out? Should I tell her now? What if I wait too long? But maybe she'll think I'm weird for saying it right off the bat. But she does look amazing-

"Ms. Kim, you look amazing today." I went against my own thoughts and spoke using my heart. She looked shocked when I spoke, which made me doubt my decision. Her face started to turn red and she used her pale hand to cover her smile.

"T-thank you. You look stylish as always, Mr. Fsichbach-" Ms. Kim's thought was cut short when a certain blue-eyed Irish man barged into the room yelling like a hyperactive three-year-old. The two of us were startled by his appearance, not his behaviour.

"Ohohoho, Markimoo~" He chimed like a hummingbird. "Hello, Ms. Kim." He waved at the woman and she bowed slightly.

"Aren't you supposed to be at a meeting?" I asked the shorter man while he attempted to jump on my back. Before he could do anything, I grabbed his wrist, twisted it and brought him down to the floor.

"ooh, romantic~" He wiggled his eyebrows, and I let go of him, leaving him to drop on the floor. "I am, but my God is it boring. Imagine sitting in a quiet room for seven hours only to hear people repeat the same shit over and over again! I swear if I didn't get out any sooner, I would have slapped everyone in that room." Sean chuckled and dusted himself off when he came up from the ground.

"You know what would be better than a boring room? Food and beer." The hyperactive man's ocean blue eyes lit up once the gears in his brain started to function. Sooyoung and I only looked at him in confusion and fear, scared that he was going to do something extremely stupid and dangerous. "Let's go out and get some chicken and beer because I'm for sure not going back to that room."

"Uhh..." Sooyoung and I hummed in unison, and apparently he took that as agreement to his lats minute plans.

"Amazing! See, this is why I always rant to you guys, you guys just know what to say all the time. Be ready at 7!" Sean yelled and left the room. Ms. Kim and I looked at each other, perplexed on how quickly this man came in here, made plans with us without our consent and left. He seriously couldn't be stopped.

"Guess we're having chicken and beer for dinner...?" I said and chuckled. The beautiful assistant joined, and we got back to work, still very confused on how this all happened in the span of 15 seconds.
