*Amy's P.O.V.*
At the office, business was running as it should be. Everyone in their assigned places...at least for the most part. Ever since that incident near our workshop, Aciel has been nothing more than a sweetheart to me. Now that he's told me where he was positioned, it's almost like I can't not see him in the hallways anymore. Not to be rude, but before then, I didn't even know he existed. But that's something from the past now.
It's almost routinely how many times he's dropped gifts at my office. Yesterday was a slice of cake from the right wing's cafeteria, the day before was a box of earrings, and he always comes at a specific time: 12:15 P.M., right at lunchtime. He then stays for a few moments and we talk about the other's interests. He's really into different forms of fighting like boxing and taekwondo. He also likes hip-hop music and plays video games in his free time.
We've spent a lot of time together, almost texting/calling every time we weren't in the same room. I wouldn't be surprised if he was talking to someone and said I was his girlfriend. I mean, that wouldn't be so bad... After all, he was all that I wanted. Cute personality, unbelievably tall, broad shoulders, deep voice, looks extremely sexy in suits and a face sculptured by God himself.
"I wonder if the rest of the (L/N) family is attractive..." I murmured to myself while placing a few documents in the metal drawers. It was lunchtime again, but I didn't have a big appetite as usual. So I ate an apple, and went back to work, hoping that my stomach would change his mind. I did make a tasty sandwich and it'll be a shame if it went to waste just because I didn't feel like eating.
"You wondered what?" A sudden, deep and hoarse voice came from behind me, which made me jump. I immediately turned around to see the man himself, Aciel, leaning against the doorway leading into my office with one hand behind his back. That usually meant he had something for me. It was useless trying to refuse, so whatever he brought me, I just took it.
"If the rest of your family was just as attractive as you are." I grinned slightly, walking over to him while playing with my fingers. Whenever I was around Aciel, my heart would skip a beat, meaning that he was exactly the one for me.
"Well, if you must know," He spoke as his arm snaked around my waist, pulling me closer while looking down at me intensely. I looked away in embarrassment, my cheeks heating up slightly while his glare became more and more intense. "...beauty is subjective, so you can make your own judgements if you see them one day." I grew confused, but then realized what he said. He did say one day that his family was a very sensitive topic and that it'll pain him to even think about it, so I just laid off it for now, taking his hand and inviting him into my office.
As per usual, I sat on my side, and he sat on the other, his (E/C) eyes never leaving my figure for even a second. His eyes were obviously filled with love, even a blind person could see that. It's obvious that he has some sort of attraction to me, and frankly I feel the same.
"Today, I present you," I did a mini drum roll. "Ta-da!" The (H/C) boy spoke in a baby-like voice, revealing the gift that he brought for me this time. And boy did I almost pass out for a second.
Displayed in front of me was a small white box, and when he opened it, it revealed a white cushion. On top of that white cushion was the prettiest diamond ring that I ever saw in my life. It was minimalistic, with one big diamond surrounded by smaller ones, but it looked like the most expensive thing on Earth. There was no way I could accept this.
"A-Aciel, I can't accept this. I mean, look at it," I pointed to the ring, my other hand over my agape mouth. "That's a f-full on an engagement ring." I was too shocked to even notice that the man in front of me was blushing as well, avoiding eye contact with me at all costs.
"Well yeah, that's cause it is dummy." I chuckled. "My girlfriend "engagement" ring. Amy, please don't reject me, I spent so much money on this ring." The last part was spoken quietly and he tilted his head downwards in embarrassment, but heard it and laughed. I took the box that was in his hands, placing it on the table while interwinding our fingers. My pale digits caressed the back of his hand as I smiled at him.
"Huh? How can I reject a cute boy like you?" I said, looking at him with the love in my eyes. It was like a dreams come true, I thought I was dreaming for a few seconds. This feeling of love and being cared for was something I've longed for, and now that I'm finally feeling it, my brain doesn't know how to react. I instantly turned shy once I realized my actions, giggling as my ears became redder.
"Ha? What cute boy? I'm a strong man!" Aciel joked, puffing out his cheeks and looking up as if his pride was on the line. I couldn't help but laugh.

And if things couldn't get any better between the two of us, Aciel and I couldn't help but act like newlyweds, holding hands out in public while getting lunch and even sending sweet text messages. Once in a while before work, he'd send me a corny pick-up line while I would tell him to stay happy and healthy. We cared for each other excessively, lending each other their foods and clothing so they don't go cold or hungry. Some people may say that we're doing too much, but since we were both like this, I'd argue that we aren't doing enough.
It was late at night, and I had a strong feeling that I was the only one in the building. I finished a paper for Rose and sent it to her immediately without even proofreading, rubbing my head in pain. It was a constant cycle for me to overwork myself, but once again, it's having its repercussions. I feel like I've aged a few years because of all this overworking that I'm doing, but it's necessary since I have a house to pay for.
"Knock knock~" A deep voice chimed from my office doorway, making me focus all my attention to that area. Aciel stood there, this time with his coat and light scarf on, holding out a disposable drink tray with two drinks on top. I smiled at him, welcoming him inside the room. "It's pretty cold tonight, so I thought you'd like some hot chocolate." He placed my drink beside my hand, and I took it, instantly placing my lips. It was weird since I haven't told him that my favourite drink was hot chocolate.
"Thanks," I said, looking out my office window for a brief second. It was already very dark outside, so I thought it would best that I'd start packing up.
And packing up I did. While Aciel waited with a small smile on his face, I started to put on my jacket and put everything in its respectful spots, following him out my office and out the building shortly afterwards. We hopped into his car and slowly drove off to his home, talking about insignificant things.
"What do you mean aliens don't exist?!" I yelled, outraged that such comment would come out the mouth of a man who I trust. He was just as furious about the topic as I was, defending his position with all his pride.
"You're going to sit there and tell me there are green people riding your mom's old fashion China and have the best technology out there at the same time?! What are you? Five?!" He turned to face me in a moment of heat, but we both started laughing once we realized what we're arguing about. It was like children fighting over a toy - we were so aggressive and passionate about it.
"So that's the only thing you have on your mind while you work all day?" He chuckled between his words, paying attention to the road in front of him.
"Well, that and you..." I hesitantly spoke, hoping that I didn't make anything awkward. He huffed, then started grinning.
"Is that so?" I nodded, looking at the (H/C) haired boy with an evil smirk. I think we both knew what I was thinking. "Keep thinking those thoughts until we get home."
(hello again. while writing this, i suddenly remembered the emotionally traumatic experience that happened to me in December of 2019, which was watching episode 10 of Make Our Days Count. if you watched it, you know that episode 10 was very uncalled for and that they should have gone with the alternate ending. but guess what? they didn't and now that moment is going to haunt me for the rest of my life :))
