Caspian x Reader: Invisible Girl

This idea just came to me so I hope you guys enjoy!! Love ya!!

Modern AU
Third person POV
Y/n felt invisible. Invisible to everyone around her. She couldn't help it. It didn't help that her crush didn't see her. Caspian. She's had a crush on him since they were kids. But, he was part of the popular crowd. He wasn't mean or anything, it's just that guys like him didn't give girls like her the time of day.

Y/n had friends, but it felt like even they didn't know she was there sometimes. It hurt, but she tried not to let it get to her. She wasn't invisible to her family at least. They could always tell when something is wrong and they always tried to cheer her up. But how could she tell them how she feels?

She was walking through the school halls, heading to the exit. She often walked home. The fresh air often cleared her mind and often helped her relax. Especially when she felt so lonely.

Y/n was so lost in thought that she didn't realize that someone was in front of her. She bumped into them, causing her to fall. The person catches her before she hits the ground. She looks up and she feels her face flush. It was Caspian!

"Sorry I didn't see you there." He says, still holding her. Story of my life, the girl thought to herself. 

Y/n looked down, her face still flushed. They stayed like that for several minutes, until Caspian realized that he was still holding her. He set her back on her feet and smiled at the girl. "Your Y/n? Right?"

She looked at him in shock. He knows my name? He notices her face. "What's wrong?"

Y/n snapped out of her daze. "Oh, uh nothing. I'm just surprised you know my name that's all."

He smiles. "Why wouldn't I know your name?"

She shrugged before laughing nervously. "Uh, no reason." He smiled warmly and Y/n's heart fluttered.

"Are you okay?" He asks, concern etching his features.

"Oh, I'm fine. Sorry I wasn't paying attention."

"No worries, no harm done."

She nodded, her face still flushed. They stood in an uncomfortable silence before Y/n said something. "Well, I better be going. Don't want to be late for dinner." She laughed nervously.

"Uh, yeah see you later." Caspian smiled and Y/n was on her way.

Caspian watched as she walked away. He couldn't keep the smile from his face and he found the girl interesting.

Meanwhile, said girl was beating herself up. The one time her crush talks to her and she makes a total fool of herself.  Way to go, L/n, she said to herself. You made a fool of yourself in front of your crush!

Timeskip!!!
It had been a few days since Y/n ran into Caspian. She was trying to avoid another embarrassing moment with him. Whenever she saw him coming, Y/n turned the other way.

Caspian was wondering why the girl was avoiding him. He made a plan to catch her, not giving her a chance to run away. At the moment, the evasive Y/n was walking home with her latest art project in hand. It was pretty big, and it didn't help that the wind was threatening to blow it away.

She continued her journey home, huffing in annoyance everytime a gust of wind blew at her. Her art project was simple. It was the shadow of a girl sitting alone. She shaded it in with pencil and Y/n's art teacher wanted them to express themselves with this new art project so she did.

(This is one of my drawings from my sketchbook, and I thought it went with the story. Imagine it's bigger!)

She was particularly proud of her latest art work, she was just going to add some touches to it and she would be done. Another gust of wind threatened her project. She stopped, growing more frustrated. If only she had her liscense. She wouldn't have to worry about the wind blowing her project away.

She heard a car driving up, idling beside her. Y/n was shocked by who she saw. It was Caspian! He rolled the passenger side window down and grinned. "Hey, Y/n!" His voice sending her heart racing. "Do you need a ride?"

Cheeks flushed, Y/n nodded. He gets out of the driver side and helps her put her project in the back, making room for the large paper. She makes sure it's secure before getting in the car. Caspian got back in, made sure no cars were coming, and began driving.

Silence filled the space. After a few minutes, Caspian spoke. "I like your drawing."

Y/n smiled shyly. "T-thanks." She replied, placing a strand of hair behind her ear.

"Your welcome." He says, grinning. "Is there any special meaning to it?"

"N-not really." She stuttered, not wanting to tell him exactly what the drawing meant. He doesn't seem to believe her. "I thought art had a special meaning to an artist?"

"Well, of course they do, but not all the time." Y/n says, trying to make him beleive her.

He remains silent. His silence seemed to be willing her to tell him what her art meant. She sighs before looking out the window.

"It's all in the title really." Y/n said quietly. "Invisible Girl. For years, it's been like that for me. It's like no one knows I'm there... like they can't see me. Even my friends don't seem to see me half the time... I'm invisible. Always have been, always will be."

Caspian was quiet as he took in this information about the girl. She had h/l, h/c and e/c, and she was absolutely beautiful. How could she think she was invisible?

"Well, I don't think your invisible." Caspian says, glancing at her. "Your very hard to miss."

Y/n blushed and smiled. Caspian grinned and continued driving. Y/n gave him the directions to her house and soon they arrived. He got out of the car and opened the car door for her. He held out his hand and Y/n accepted it. She grabbed her art project and the two walked to her don't door.

"Uh, thanks for the ride." She smiles. "You didn't have to."

"I couldn't let you walk home in this weather." Caspian says. "Besides, I wanted to see you again."

Her heart skipped a beat at that. "Y-you did?"

He grinned, nodding. His own cheeks were flushed. Y/n couldn't keep the smile off her face. "Well, I should get going."

Y/n nods. As Caspian turns to go, Y/n grabs his arm and kisses his cheek. "Good night." She says quickly and runs into her house, leaving a stunned Caspian. He brushes his fingers where Y/n had kissed his cheek and grins widely. He walks to his car with a bounce to his step.

Meanwhile, Y/n stands in front of her closed door, not believing what she just did. SHE KISSED CASPIAN!! Well, on the cheek that is. She sighs, walking to her room.

Maybe I'm not so invisible after all, she thought to herself.
