This was requested from a reader and they asked to remain anonymous but I hope they like it!! Also listen to the song!!!!

Y/N was walking around the castle when she came across some noble men and women talking. About her. Ever since she got engaged to Peter, it was like she was all anyone wanted to talk about. They mostly talked bad about her. She never told Peter this though. She didn't want him thinking that she couldn't fight her own battles.

"Can you believe that King Peter is engaged to that woman? She's several years older and she's not that thin."

It was true. Y/n wasn't all that thin. But she wasn't that fat either. She was in between. It's not her fault. That's just how her body is. And while Peter was 21, she was 23. Peter didn't care about that though. He cared about her personality. But, he always told Y/n that he thought that she was the most beautiful girl in the world. That always made her smile, but she couldn't help but think how the noblemen and women treated her.

"There are so many other more beautiful and far more prepared women in the world." Another spoke up. "Like that Princess Selena. She's far more prepared to rule than her." (If Selena is your name, change it! Sorry!)

Y/n sighed, feeling as though maybe they were right. Maybe she wasn't right for Peter. She felt tears come to her eyes and she ran to her room. She changed out of her dress and was about to grab some riding clothes when she saw her reflection in the mirror. She had (h/c) that was (h/l) and her she had (e/c). Then she looked at her body. She was kind of chubby, like she said. She was in the middle. She had a few belly rolls, and maybe a small double chin, but that's about it. She turned to the side and sucked in her belly, to see what she would look like of she was a bit skinnier. She felt foolish immediately. But she also felt sad. She began to drown in her thoughts.

What if I'm not good enough? She thought. What if he leaves me for someone else? She turned away from the mirror and got into nice, lose, comfortable clothes. She then got into bed, and cried . She cried and cried until she fell asleep. She didn't go to lunch or dinner. This made many people worried. One was her fiance, Peter.

Peter was at dinner, wondering where Y/n is. She never missed dinner. He wondered if she wasn't feeling well. He stood up but before he could go check on her, Duke Weasleton (see what I did there?) spoke. "Where is the Princess Y/n, my lord?" he asked, his face smug. Peter restrained from showing disgust. The Duke had always been apposed to his engagement to Y/n. Just because she was a few years older than he was and because she wasn't that thin. That didn't matter to him. He thought she was the most beautiful girl in the world and would do anything for her. "She's probably in her room." Peter said, keeping is voice emotionless.

"Really?" the duke says in mock concern. "I do hope she's alright."

He could see all his siblings were looking at him in concern. Probably worried he would punch him. Peter gives the Duke a smile. "I was just going to go check on her. If you would excuse me." He then looks to Lucy. "Could you come with me Lucy?"

Lucy nodded, seeming relieved to get away from the duke. She stood and followed him. Once they were out of earshot, Peter began to speak. "Have you seen Y/n?" he asked, worry evident in his voice.

Lucy shook her head. "I haven't seen her since breakfast this morning. She seemed fine though."

Peter nodded and continued walking. "I'm going to go to the Library and see if she's there." Lucy says. "You know how she get's when she reads a good book."

Peter nodded and smiled. "I'll go to her room and see if she's there. See you later."

They both parted ways and he felt more worried about her. Once he got to her room, he knocked slightly. When she didn't answer, he opened the door and saw her curled in bed. She was facing him and he could see dried tears on her face. He immediately walked over to her. His heart hurt seeing the dried tears. If something was bothering her, why didn't she tell him? Peter glanced at her nightstand and found her sketchbook open. (If you don't draw, sorry just roll with it!) He glanced at Y/n, and then reached for the sketchbook. She had drawn a girl that looked like her, but she wasn't smiling in the drawing. She was crying on her knees, hugging herself. Around her, words swirled. Insults that had ever been directed at her.  Her eyes showed incredible sadness... not the happiness Peter had loved the first moment he laid eyes on her. He felt tears come to his own eyes. Y/n was the type of person that kept things bottled up, only expressing herself when she draws or sings. She never showed anyone what she was truly feeling. She always had a brave face. No matter what.

"Peter?" a groggy voice croaked next to him. He turned to Y/n. her eyes were red from crying and her hair was messy. She sat up and when she saw that he was looking at her drawing, she gazed at her blanket, not willing to look Peter in the eyes. Peter put his index finger under her chin and made her look at him. Her eyes began welling up with tears again.

"Hon, why didn't you tell me?" he asked gently.

Y/n shrugged. "I never meant for you to see that." She said, tears escaping her eyes. She moved her hand to wipe them away but Peter beat her to it. He wiped away her tears. "It's okay to cry," he told her. "it doesn't make you weak."

Something within Y/n broke. All the pain she had hidden over the years came out. "I'm sorry..." she said. Peter pulled her towards him and his strong arms comforted her, like nothing could touch her as long as he was there. Y/n pulled away and stared into his eyes.

"Why did you choose me?" she asked. "I'm nothing like Princess Selina... I never will be."

Peter smiled. "I don't want you to be like her." he said, taking her hand. "She is a snob, for one thing. A rich, spoiled princess. You, on the other hand, are not. You have a good heart, your brave, and extremely talented. You are beautiful. I love you. I've loved you since the moment I laid eyes on you. You were the most interesting girl I have ever met. And you keep surprising me. Your the woman I want to spend the rest of my life with."

Y/n couldn't help but smile. "I love you too." She said, leaning in. They both met in a passionate kiss. Her hands ran through his hair and his hands wrapped around her. They finally broke for air, gazing into each others eyes.

Peter was her rock, no doubt about it. She now realized that Peter would never leave her. He would always be there for her and she didn't have to be strong all the time. She could show moments of weakness. Even if she didn't like it.

As their wedding drew closer, the people of Narnia, or rather the ones who did not like her, grew to love her and saw her for the person she truly was. They saw her as Peter saw her. The Duke repeatedly tried to get people to not like her, but let's face it. Y/n was impossible not to like and Peter felt pride. He knew that she would have a hard time recovering from all the insults she's suffered. But she was strong.

Both felt deep love for one another and were counting down the days until they were husband and wife. The rest of their days would be full of love and happiness with a rough patch here and there. It was Narnia. There are always new enemies to fight. But they faced them together... as they faced everything. Neither one would have it any other way.
