Hey guys! I am so sorry it has taken so long for me to write but you know how it is with school and such but I hope you guys like this chapter! This was requested by Queennatxx I hope you like it! Also, I'm sorry if this is not how you envisioned it! I'm awful at these kind of stories!!! 😳

3rd person POV
Natalie and Edmund have been rivals ever since middle school. They challenged each other in every way they could: sports, grades, tests, even in who could get to class first. Many people thought that this was because they liked each other but didn't want to show it. These two would never admit it. They were now Juniors in high school and they kept up their rivalry ever since the 7th grade.

On one particular day, they were challenging each other, as usual, but it was completely different than it was before.

"Natalie, I bet I can make you fall in love with me in 3 days." Edmund smirked.

Natalie rolled her eyes and looked at him. "Oh yeah Pevensie?" She says, narrowing her eyes. She gets closer to him. "I bet I can make you fall in love with me well before then."

Edmund maintains his smirk and leans closer to her face. "Prove it."

Natalie felt her heart skip a beat, which she almost smacked herself for. She recovered quickly before Edmund could say anything. It wasn't as if he was God's gift to women everywhere. She wasn't going to fall for Edmund Pevensie. No way. She would rather die.

And so that's what the next few days looked like. The two trying to outdo the other, trying to make the other fall in love. But, what they didn't realize was that the two had been in love for a long time.

They were falling deeper and deeper in love, neither one knowing the others feelings. Of course it didn't help that their egos got in the way.

It was day three into their little contest. Three days was the deadline. So far, the two had gone out to dinner, gone to the park, and actually didn't spend their time trying to one up the other. They genuinely liked each others company, though they wouldn't admit it.

That afternoon, they were going skating. Natalie was looking forward to it. She was good at rollerblading (if your not, sorry!) and what she remembered the last time she saw Edmund skate, he wasn't so good.

They said that they would meet at the rink. Natalie arrived first so she payed for her skates and put them on. Soon, Edmund arrived and he had his skates in his hands. He sat next to her and put them on. Natalie could tell that he was nervous.

The two stood up and entered the rink. "You sure you can handle this?" She grinned, trying not to let her amusement shine too much.

He gave her a confident smile, a fake one, but one none the less. "Of course I can."

Natalie shrugged her shoulders and began skating, showing off. She circled the rink several times, giving Edmund a thumbs up each time. He glared at her.

After the 5th time, she stopped next to him, noticing him hanging on to the railing for dear life. "You good there Pevensie?" She asked, trying not to grin.

"Fine." He grunted, trying to skate slowly without falling.

Natalie sighed. "Come on, take my hands."

He looked at her unsure. "I think I'll stick with the railing."

"Edmund, I promise I don't have some ulterior motive." She laughed, still holding out her hands. "Come on."

He, reluctantly, nodded and took her hands. Natalie began to skate slowly backwards, making sure that Edmund didn't fall.

"Okay, that's it. Your doing great Ed." Natalie says, smiling in encouragement. Funny what spending a little time with each other can do, Natalie thought.

Soon, Edmund started to get the hang of it. Natalie was now skating next to him, still making sure that he wouldn't fall. He smiled proudly.

"Your getting the hang of this, Pevensie." Natalie smiled.

"Yeah, thanks." He says and they both stopped, looking into one another's eyes. It seemed like time stood still. No one around them existed. It was only them. But, then the moment ended.

"Excuse me!" A ten year old boy says, and skates in between the two. The boy slightly knocks into Natalie, causing her to lose her balance. Edmund tries to prevent her from falling. Instead, they both fell. Natalie lands on top of Edmund.

They groan slightly, not hurt too badly. "Are you alright?" Edmund asks her.

"Yeah. Just hurt my ego." She laughs and looks at him. She freezes. His face was close, too close. She felt her cheeks flush. Once again, time stood still and the two seemed to be gravitating towards each other. They got closer and closer, until their lips met.

It was like fireworks exploding. Bright and colorful. Amazing. They pulled away only for air, still gazing into each others eyes. "I guess the bet is a draw." Edmund says softly, his eyes twinkling.

Natalie laughed. "Yeah I guess it is."
They kissed once more, feeling as if nothing else mattered.
