Seven days before we met
I was filled with sorrow and regret,
I felt lost and crumbled ,
then you swooped right in and had begun to build
my bridges, and repaired my castle
and healed my injuries after the battle,
fed my starving heart with compassion.
You saved my heart and soul from utter starvation.
You took my hollowness and filled me up
with an abundance of happiness and love.
you saw my emptiness and made me whole
and the last remaining bit of misery i had, you quickly stole.
I showed you my darkness and you showered me with light,
you saw me while weak and you supplied me with might.
you took all the weight i had on my shoulders.
still, day by day, you manage to make me even happier.
You complete me in unimaginable ways.
you're my sun- you brighten my days.
with every encounter i love you a bit more.
I've been lost at sea and i finally found my shore.
Thank you for being the dry land when i was surrounded by water,
thank you for supplying my life with hope and laughter.
I appreciate all the goodness you provide me,
I'll end up loving you endlessly.
