Chapter 18

~Monika's POV~

I hoped my father was dead now. I calmed down and my wings changed form. It changed from a firey blizzard to white elegant wings. It was an amazing sight and it felt good. I rolled my neck and shoulders then froze my dad in ice. I won the fight and I ran to the stands. I opened the door to the prisoners boxes and was almost ran over by everyone running out the door. I then ran to Worthy and hugged him nearly making him fall in the process.

"Woah!" Worthy said.

"I did it!" I said.

"You did it." Worthy said.

I hugged him for over a minute and I felt something land on my left-wing. I looked to see what it was and it was an arrow. Blood was dripping down my wing and onto the ground and I turned to see my dad still alive. I ran toward him and flew into the air and water bent the ground making it turn into water. My dad dropped into the pit of ice-cold water. I landed with a sword in hand and pointed it at my dad's neck.

"Don't kill me please!" My dad said.

"Why should I listen to you?" I screamed at him.

"I know what you are!" My dad said.

"What am I?" I asked.

"The elemental phoenix. This being is more powerful than the avatar and that's why I wanted to dethrone you, to use you as a weapon." My dad said.

I bent the water that my dad was in and lifted him out.

"Don't you or your little organization dare come back to my nation or I will hunt you down until you never come back here again." I said.

He nodded and I froze him in water and tossed him to sea. I forgot about the arrow in my wing and fell to the ground. I dipped my wing into the water to heal but my wings transformed. My wings turned ocean blue which looked like the ripples of the ocean and when I touched it, water came out of it. I quickly got up and walked back to the castle. I knew Worthy was following me but I pretended to not notice him. I walked to my room and my wings transformed back into the white wings. I found the arrows and tried to reach and pull it out but my wing kept getting away from my hand. Worthy came into my room and tried to reach for that arrow but I accidentally slapped him with my wingtip.

"Oops!!!!" I said.

"Ow."  Worthy said rubbing his cheek.

"You think you can try to get this stupid arrow out of my wing?" I asked.

"Ok." Worthy said.

Worthy pulled at the arrow but it still didn't come out. He pulled harder and this time I gasped in pain. It finally came out and blood-spattered onto Worthy's and my face. I quickly muttered a spell and my wings detached itself from my body and flew up into the air and onto a self in a case. I immediately to off my shirt and to make sure Worthy does not see me I ran into my closet. I changed out of the bloody clothes and slipped into some jeans and a tank top. I got out and I saw Worthy. Worthy's cloak was off, his tail was showing, and Worthy was shirtless. I blushed when I saw him. Worthy turned to see me and I muttered the spell for my wings to attach itself to my back. My wings attached itself to my back and I covered myself with them. I walked towards Worthy and was immediately interrupted by people coming through my door and kissing. I saw Mary and Dan kissing on my floor. I coughed letting them know I'm here. They stopped making out and looked at me.

"Whoops! Wrong room." Mary said.

"You bet. You better start making out in your room and stop coming into my room. Ok?" I said.

They got out of my room and I continued to walk towards Worthy. I placed my arms around his neck and once again I was interrupted by a servant.

"What now?" I said.

"Misstress! Song requested to see you in person." The servant said.

"Well? Tell her that she has to wait until tomorrow!" I said.

"Yes, mistress!" The servant said before leaving the room.

"Finally!"I said before locking the door.

I walked to Worthy and was once again interrupted by the intruder bell. I groaned and grabbed my bow, arrows, a bag of water, and my sword. Worthy threw on a shirt and he put on his redcloak. I jumped out of the window and flew into the air. I dove at the little army holding flags of the Red Roses. (The Red Roses are a rip-off of the Red Lotus in The Legend Of Korra.)

"We have come for the chieftess!" I heard a soldier say.

I landed right in front of the poor guy who said that.

"What makes you so sure you can defeat me?" I growled at the guy.

"I have the strongest person to defeat you!" The guy said.

This guy comes up to me and pulled out a long sword. He attempted to stab me but I bent two water whips and tied them around his wrists and pulled them. I kicked him in the stomach making him fall. He hit the ground and ran away from me.

"You were saying?" I said while the poor guy trembled with fear.

The little army ran away dropping flags in the process while jumping into the sea and running away. I flew back up to my room and flopped onto the bed. I was really tired from the fight and flying. I said the spell to detach my wings and they flew up into the case. I got into a nightgown and laid onto my bed and went to sleep. I had a not-so-great day.
