Chapter 8

~3rd person~

When Meilin got the news she nearly cried because her sister lost her bending.

"Sis, it's ok. You saved my life that's all that matters." Monika said in a calm voice.

She then frowned and said:

"You are the Avatar. You can bend water, earth, fire, and air. You can also take bending for good or give it back to the people you love."

Meilin stared in shock. Meilin then went to her sister.

"Please teach me how to give you bending. Please teach me." Meilin pleaded to her elder half-sister.

"Your past lives will show you how." Monika said.

Meilin and Rollan left the room and went to their room. Meilin released Jhi from passive state. Jhi licked her thinking she needed to be healed or something. She petted the panda to say that she was fine. Meilin and Rollan both got into their sleepwear and went to Conor and Abeke's room where they were playing truth or dare. 

"Hey, guys." Meilin said to them. She was trying not to show the sadness in her voice.

"Hey! Wanna play Truth or Dare?" Abeke asked

"Ok." Meilin replied.

"Meilin, Truth or Dare." Abeke said

"Dare." Meilin said. Abeke grinned evilly.

"I dare you to hide somewhere. If we find you, you have to kiss Rollan. But, if we don't find you, I and Conor will kiss." Abeke said. Conor turned red along with Rollan. 

"I'll go hide then." Meilin said

"Ok." Abeke said.

~Meilin's POV~

I found a secret room in my closet. I decided to hide there. No one will suspect this place at all. I heard footsteps coming closer and screams of people. I went out of my hiding spot to see what was going on. I saw Monika, Abeke, Conor, and Rollan tied up. I ran over to them to see what was going on. I saw a servant questioning Monika.

"Where is she?" the servant snarled.

"I don't know."  Monika said.

The servant slapped her hard. Monika was knocked out. I instantly got mad and ran toward the servant. I kicked her legs out from under her and started hitting her in the face. The servant shot fire out of her hand and I got burned. I cried out in pain. Then, hit her again. She then got up and pulled a dagger out from her sleeve and ran towards Monika. 

"No!" I screamed and punched the air. I saw air go out of my hand and straight towards her. The servant went flying back. I was confused as she was. I went over and tried to cut the rope that was holding my friends. It snapped and then they drew their weapons and released the spirit animals. I ran over to my sister and attempted to give her bending back. I saw somebody stand next to me.

"Let me do that." The woman said. (I threw in Korra just so you know!😁)  

She then showed me how to give her bending back while my friends were fighting the servant. I copied the woman and I felt light-headed. Then I saw Monika get up and bent the ice from the wall and trapped the woman. She even made ice spikes surround the servant in the ice-berg. Everyone was looking at me. I was super tired. So I laid on the floor panting. 

"Meilin?" I heard Conor say.

I then blacked out.
