Chapter 12

~Meilin's POV~

I was in a dark room not in the inn. I heard a scream in the distance and I looked where it was coming from. I saw my mother. I tried to run to her but I couldn't move at all. Then I saw a guy in armor. I realize this is what happened to her. She didn't die when she gave birth to me. She is still alive. I woke up in a heap. I was still in the room I looked and saw Rollan get up next to me. I had tears running down my cheeks. Rollan was in front of me.

"Are you ok?" Rollan said. I looked for his hand and I grabbed his hand.

"My mother is alive and I'm gonna find her." I said." I said. Rollan looked at me in shock.

"I can go with you." Rollan said. I looked at him.

"I have to go alone. If my mother is still alive I need to go alone." I said.

"But I want to meet your mom." Rollan said.

"Fine." I said laying back down. Rollan laid next to me. I let his hand go.

"Do you think you find her?" asked Rollan and I closed my eyes.

I was in a castle. I walked through it. I realized that I was in a guard's body. 

"You going to check on the prisoner?" A guard said.

"Yes. That woman is going to get the best of me." I heard the guard say.

 I started walking and realized that this was a prison. I saw my mother. She was tall, broad, she had black hair, and I saw a tattoo of a dragon on her neck. She was marked! I got out of the guard and returned to reality. I opened my eyes. 

"Well?" Rollan said.

"It looked like a huge tower and in Greenhaven." I said. 

"Did you take anybody with a dragon tattoo and black hair?" I asked Rollan.                                  

"Not that I know of." He said.

I heard glass breaking and I sat up with a start. We both got out of the bed and towards where I heard the sound. I saw someone pick up Monika and was headed to Me and Rollan's room. I pulled Rollan into a room with a pool in it. I found Monika's gauntlets and a crossbow. I loaded the bow with one of those balls that electrocuted my sister. I heard the person coming towards the room. Rollan made whips from fire. The person opened the door. I didn't see Monika in his arms and I hid behind a plant. I aimed at the guy. I saw Rollan fight him and I saw him getting hurt. I shot the crossbow at the man. It electrocuted him enough to make him fall. Rollan got up and made a fire ring around the guy.

"Where is Monika?" I said.

"Long gone by now." The guy said.

I shot the guy with another one of those balls. This time, I knocked him out.

"Rollan, go tell the others. I'm going to find my sister." I said.

Rollan left the room dragging the guy by the leg. I went into the pool, laid down in the ice-cold water, and looked for my sister. I was in a carriage and saw Monika tied up with a gag on her mouth and gloves. Probably to prevent her from bending. I was a guard and I untied her gag. "Monika, wake up."  I said. She did and kicked at me.

"Monika! It's Meilin!" I screamed. I pinned her to the seat and covered her mouth.

"Shh. This is Meilin. Where are you?" I whispered and uncovered her mouth.

"Meilin. I'm heading towards a ship docked in Xin Kao Dai. If you can untie me and take off these gloves I might be able to release Lily from dormant state. Ok?" Monika whispered.

"Ok." I said. I reached for a dagger on the belt on the guard's belt and pulled it out. I started cutting the rope Monika was in. I heard footsteps going out of the coach. I saw the other guard walk towards the forest. I quickly removed the gloves and Monika released Lily from dormant state. Monika sent her back to Jano Rion.

"Go. I'll be fine." Monika said to me.

"Ok." I said.

I woke up to see Abeke, Conor, Rollan, Micaella, Lauren, and Mary looking down on me. I got up.

"She's heading to a boat in Xin Kao Dai. Also Lily is coming." I said.

"Well then, let's go find her!"Abeke said.

"I need to go change into something more appropriate." I said.

~1 hour later~

I got into a tank top and pants and grabbed some water and made it into unbreakable ice shards and put it onto my arms. I put on Monika's gauntlets and grabbed some of those balls and a crossbow along with a sword and bags of water. I walked to the hotel lobby and saw everyone. Lauren, Mary, and Micaella had armor of a jade dragon. 

"Let's go!" I said.

I stepped out of the inn to see Lily and another dragon with her. I realize this was Lily's mother, Scarlett. I got on Lily's back. Rollan got on behind me. Everyone else got on Scarlett. I flew off into the night. I was going to save my sister and mother no matter the cost.
