Chapter 13: Forever Fall | Part Two |

Jaune grunted as Cardin picked him up and punched him down.

"You know that wasn't very smart, Jauney boy. I'm gonna make sure they send you back to mommy in teeny, tiny, pieces."

"I don't care what you do to me. But you are not messing with my team."

"What, you think talk like that makes you tough? You think you're a big strong man now?"

Jaune simply smiled weakly, further angering Cardin.

However when Cardin's fist went to punch Jaune's face, a bright white light surrounded Jaune. Cardin dropped Jaune, and then sky kicked Jaune down.

"lets see how much of a man you really are-" Cardin started, but stopped when a large Ursa roared.

The Ursa ran towards Cardin, smelling the sap on his armor.

"That's a big Ursa!" Russel said as he ran away.

Now there were only two people there, Jaune, and Cardin. 

The Ursa slapped Cardin to the side, ignoring Jaune. Cardin attempted to bring out his weapon, but it was swatted away as well.  

Jaune realized that even though Cardin was horrible to him, he needed to do something.

Cardin continued to try and run away, but to no avail. With one final slash of the Ursa's claws, Cardin was going to be no more.

Suddenly, Jaune's shield collided against the claws, protecting against Cardin. Jaune dodged most of the Ursa's attacks, his aura beginning to get low. 

It was time to go to a more offensive strategy. Jaune ran to the Ursa, making a horizontal cut. Pyrrha used her semblance, polarity, to make Jaune's shield block the oncoming attack from the side. Jaune decapitated the Ursa, and walked over to Cardin. 

He helped him up. 

"Holy crap, Jaune-" Cardin began.

"Don't ever mess with my team, my . . . friends, ever again. Got it." Jaune interrupted.

He then walked away, stronger as a person now.

Jaune looked out on the roof, thinking over the previous day.

"No Cardin tonight? I thought you two were best buds?" Pyrrha said walking out to him.

"Pyrrha . . . I'm sorry. I was a jerk. You were only trying to be nice and I had stupid macho stuff in my head-"

"Jaune. It's okay." Pyrrha said smiling. "Your team really misses their leader, you know. You should come down. Ren made pancakes~ No syrup, though, you can thank Nora for that." She finished walking away.

"Wait! I know I don't deserve it after all that happened, but . . . Would you still be willing to help me? to help me become a better fighter?"

Pyrrha thought about for a moment, and then walked over to Jaune. She shoved him over.

"Hey-"

"Your stance is all wrong. You need to be wider and lower to the ground."

Jaune smiled, and Pyrrha pulled him up.

"Lets try that again."

Heyo Peeps, It's me. I apologize for not updating this book for quite a long time, but hey, I got some thinking on the book done. One: I'm gonna continue it, and two: I'm gonna try making it slightly more in the POV of Y/N, like my Konosuba book. Also sorry for the short chapter lol, I'll have to decide on a word minimum and maximum. Anywho, I'll see y'all in the next chapter, Bai Bai!
