This may be more than one part depending on if anyone wants a second part?
You silently cheered to yourself as you checked your emails. You had just booked another job. Anytime you had booked something it was exciting, especially since you loved your job. You had fallen in love with photography ever since 8th grade, and it just stuck with you.
You read through the email from your manager.
Hi Y/N!
Turns out we ended up finding something for you! Team StarKid would like you to be their photographer for their StarKid Homecoming performance that will have 3 performances over the course of two days. It'll require you to take photos during rehearsals, before the performance and during the performance. They can't wait to work with you! I'll send over the finer details!
You beamed with excitement. You clicked on the link that lead you to the Starkid website. You looked through a few of their stuff. It sounded really cool. You loved taking photos of concerts more than anything. As difficult as it was, the energy makes it worth it.
You smiled. Being able to work for this company this time was a huge honour. You didn't even know them that well, it just sounded like a cool group of people.
+++++++++++++
You took a deep breath, before getting out of the car and opening the back car door to gather all of your equipment. It was the morning of the first show, and Starkid had their run through rehearsal in the theatre to see if everything worked ok, but they wanted a few shots of that too, so they asked if you could come that morning.
You wheeled one bag behind you, carrying another in your hand, as you pushed open the door. You walked into the theatre to be welcomed by buzzing excitement. You looked around, not sure where to go, but the theatre was beautiful. Luckily someone spotted you and ran over to introduce themselves.
"Hey! Y/N, right?" He smiled.
"Yeah, here for the photography," You nodded.
"Awesome, I'll go to take you to Nick and Corey. I'm Joey, by the way,"
"Cool, thanks," You smiled gratefully.
"Everyone's excited to have you take some photos. Some of us have seen some of your work, it's pretty awesome,"
"Oh! Thank you!" You blushed at the unexpected compliment. "Nobody is really ever that excited to work with a photographer unless it's one on one," You chuckled. "Especially in situations like this, everyone's more focused on the actual concert, and rightfully so," You rambled as you followed Joey.
"We love working with photographers. Seeing photos afterwards is my favourite thing in the world," He rubbed the back of his neck.
"That's such a compliment, thank you," You grinned.
"Of course. Anyway, this is Nick and Corey. They pretty much run everything here. I'll see you around, Y/N," He put his warm hand on your shoulder before disappearing.
"Hi Y/N!" Nick welcomed you, giving you a warm hug. "I'm Nick, that's Corey, and we're really excited to have you here. We were pretty desperate for a photographer, but we're beyond happy we found someone like you to do the job," Nick said happily. All you could do was blush.
"I'll show you around and stuff," Corey said, and you nodded.
The next few minutes you spent looking around the theatre and meeting some of the people there. You basically started right away, taking photos at any opportunity possible. You really had to admit, the lighting was incredible.
