WARNING this is not romantic because ew, but i guess a break from all the love, and just a small lil tgwdlm fanfic oneshot snippet thing. it's pretty rushed in terms of storyline, but i'm trying to fit almost an entire plot into a chapter so bear with me haha

You knelt on the ground, your head buried deep in your hands. Your mind was spinning, and you couldn't control the tears spilling out of your eyes. You had witnessed something you never wished a child would ever have to see, but there you were, wondering if you would be scarred forever. You were too scared to remove your hands from your eyes, knowing you would have to look at it again.

You counted down from three, tears still pouring out of your eyes, to your parents, still sitting there in a pool of blue goo. You bit your lip as you forced yourself to look away, and bolt as fast as you can away from them. You knew if you looked at them for any longer, you wouldn't know what to do with yourself.

You weren't sure where you were running to. Basically no where was safe. Until you remembered one person who would be prepared enough. Henry Hidgens. You considered him family, though you weren't even really sure if he really was family.

You ran for what seemed to be hours, before finally knocking on his door, completely out of breath.

"Who is it?" He growled into the intercom.

Taking the time to catch your breath, you waited a moment, before replying. "It's Y/N, please, please let me in,"

There was no hesitation for the doors to begin opening. You scrambled inside, flailing into Hidgens' arms.

"Woah woah woah, hold on, how do I know you're not one of them?" He pushed you off.

You thought about the word "them" and automatically began to break down, remembering the sight of what you had seen earlier on.

You collapsed, not even caring what he thought of you. It was all too much to grasp onto.

"What do I have to do to convince you," You weeped, not looking up at him.

"Nothing, no, don't worry about it," He replied softly, kneeling down next to you. "What happened?"

You just shook your head, not able to form words.

"Take your time," He stood up to get you a drink of water.

"My parents- they, they," You pointed in the direction of outside, and shook your head again.

Not quite sure what to do, Henry walked up next to you, and offered you a hand. You took it, standing up, your legs feeling weak underneath you.

"You're safe in here, don't worry," He nodded, handing you the glass of water.

You didn't realise how thirsty you were until the water made contact with your lips. You chugged it down and placed it on the counter.

"What's going on?" You asked after a while.

"Well, my dear, the world has sort of, turned into a musical. Where this alien-like force is trying to force everyone into becoming apart of their musical. You're one of the lucky ones, they didn't get you,"

"Wait, so they force them into the musical by killing them," You felt your stomach flip.

"Precisely,"

You didn't reply, just sat in silence.

"Don't worry, everything's okay. And even you've had it pretty shitty already, I'm sure things'll pick up," He tried to soothe you.

"Professor Hidgens!" You heard a voice. Henry immediately raced to the Intercom to ask who was there.

You didn't hear the rest of the conversation, you just sat in your nervous thoughts.
